Grape Intoxication - >$1000!
We returned home from a short grocery trip to find grape stems all over our kitchen floor. Jackson, our 90lb Boxer, had made his way into the trashcan and devoured about 1lb of old red grapes we had just thrown out. He was not yet showing any signs of intoxication but we knew they could be lethal from a quick google search, and call to our vet. Of course it was 8PM on Sunday evening, so off to the emergency vet we went. We were required to leave Jackson overnight while he stayed on IV fluids to flush his system - this also required a cardiologist exam and echo to re-check that his heart could handle the fluid intake (prior heart murmur present). We knew this wouldn't be a cheap visit (the echo itself is $500!), but we had peace of mind knowing we wouldn't have to base any medical decisions on our fear of the bill thanks to our Embrace plan. After induction of vomiting, activated charcoal, and 24 hours on continuous IV fluids, we were released to our regular vet for monitoring. Jackson's kidneys proved normal over the course of the next week, and he has fully recovered. Our claim with Embrace was processed very quickly, especially for the amount of the bills submitted. We have been Embrace members since Jackson was a pup, and feel it's one of the best investments we can make.

Excellent
I submitted two claims and was reimbursed in less than a month. The process was easy as I simply faxed my invoices to them and they sent me a check.

AMAZING!!!
We had a $3000 experience when our beautiful 2 year old goldendoodle apparently ingested some goose poop. She started getting sick and by the 5th time there was an unbelievable amount of blood...we knew this was serious and were wondering how much it would all cost. After a few days in the vet emergency clinic and almost $3000 later....we are so thankful that we invested in healthy Paws pet insurance. The customer service is top notch and they processed and sent out claims literally the same week!!! We can't sing their praises enough!!

You can trust Healtht Paws
Our cat Jack got very sick where his chest cavity filled with fluid and pus. He only had a 50/50 chance of surviving. If we didn't have Healthy Paws, we couldn't have him cared for. His bill came to $8000 and there was no way we could have afforded it. Unfortunately, we had to pay for each visit and the week in the hospital and specialists. I didn't know how long it would take to reimburse us (90%), but within 5 days of submitting each bill, we got a check; a big relief.Jack is fine and we got 90% of our money back as promised. Great company!

Claim handled quickly
I have a goldendoodle puppy. She was diagnosed with a UTI at about 3 months old. Her claim was processed very quickly and it was very easy - I just had the vet sign the claim form and make a copy of her records and invoice and faxed everything in. The claim was covered at 90%.

Very personable service.
I am impressed by their claim handling and follow ups. When I submitted claims, they email the status regularly. The emails allow for a reply. I am impressed that Laura Bennett, the co-founder does a follow up and also allows replies. Overall, I feel the company really cares about me and my pup. The "ask a vet service" is wonderful and very responsive. I'm glad I went with Embrace.

The Best of the Best
I did a lot of research and comparison before I bought pet insurance for our dog (Kiki) in 2010. If you are a pet parent like me who is searching for the best, Healthy Paws is the best of the best. They were the top then and they are still the top now.
Our dog has elevated liver enzyme and was referred for further tests (ultrasound, x-ray, MRI). Results showed a tumor in her liver. The total cost of these tests alone are thousands of dollars! I did not even have to fill out a claim form because Healthy Paws has already a personalized form for Kiki. I took the claim form to the Vet Hospital for signature and I sent it with the bill to Healthy Paws. Within 24 hours, my claim was processed by outstanding claim staff and the following day, I was notified that the check was on its way.
It is a very difficult time when your beloved pet is sick but it is comforting when you have an excellent and caring pet insurance on your side. Thank you, Healthy Paws, from the bottom of my heart. You deserve the highest rating and commendation.
More power to all the staff of Healthy Paws.

MUST HAVE!!!
I have been with Embrace for more than 3 years and I get more enthused about them all the time. I insure two dogs, one with severe neurological issues and another who was healthy as a horse and then developed an almost terminal condition unexpectedly. I think we have now spent around $35,000 dollars on the two of them and 90% was completely covered by Embrace. No arguments, no hassles, they simply do what they've agreed to do and with kindness as well. I find the Wellness plan to be more than worthwhile too- if you provide even the most basic vaccinations and flea preventative, you will more than make your investment back. I will always use Embrace and I encourage every person who adopts a dog (or cat) to get this. It's the best investment you could make and it insures your family member can get the health care they need. Bravo Embrace!!!!

Heatlty Paws is the BEST!!
Words can't describe how highly we'd recommend Healthy Paws.
In April 2013 we adopted two 8 week old pug litter mates, Yogi and Boo Boo. After researching multiple pet insurance plans, we chose Healthy Paws days after adoption ($250 deductible, 90% reimbursement).
We never anticipated any major medical issues with puppies so young. In August, we took a 10 day vacation and left them with relatives. Upon our return it was obvious Yogi had serious problems walking. We immediately took him to the vet who did x-rays and then referred us to a veterinary neurological clinic.
The veterinary neurological clinic performed an MRI and found Yogi, had spinal stenosis that was aggravated by an acute concussive spinal injury. The x-rays and MRI cost over $2,000! The vet submitted the claim to Healthy Paws and we received a check in just over two weeks!
Healthy Paws has also contacted us by email to see how Yogi is recovering. What great customer service, if only humans had the same service from their health insurance companies.
As for, Yogi, he is recovering slowing, being on crate rest for 4-8 weeks, though he gets more chipper every day. He's looking forward to, again, playing with litter mate and best buddy, Boo Boo.
