I was so impressed with Pet's Best and their claims payment service that tells you if they'll pay your claim BEFORE you even file it. So, if you're worried about getting payment on your claim you can call their customer service which is always very helpful, and they will tell you your claim will be paid,. Brilliant! Perfect for my pup and his high dollar TPLO srugery. These guys are worth your research. One of the better ones out there and not so well known. Picked them over Healthy Paws and Pet's Plan.

I've filed a few claims now and have never had trouble with hospitalization issues. I watch other dog owners fight with their pet insurance companies so I know what it could be and I greatly appreciate the open way in which they work. The updates as the claim is processed are also greatly appreciated!

I have only had Scout's insurance with Healthy Paws since Feb of 2013. Here it is July and I have already submitted 3 claims. (Have to love puppies!) The first 2 claims went in together. It took about a week & a half to get it all completed as they had to enter the medical history and get all of the background on the situation. The 3rd claim was about 2 weeks ago when my Scout got a bottle of vitamins and ate them. (vitamins, platic bottle, lid and all) Scout spent the night in the hospital on a Wednesday and came home Thursday morning. I called Healthy Paws Thursday morning and asked them to fax a claim form to my vet as I had forgotten to take one. Friday morning I called the vet to verify that they had it. Indeed they did. The vet completed the form and faxed it back first thing that Friday morning. That same day, I had a response back from Healthy Paws on the claim. I was very impressed that they had processed it in less than a day. The explaination was clear and easy to understand. The check came in the mail approx a week later. I have spoken with Healthy Paws staff several times by phone & email. They are always very polite & helpful. They followed up after the viatmin incident to make sure Scout was ok as well. I'm thankful for the quality service I have received so far with them. Hoping that I don't need to talk to them any time soon..... Embrace is the absolute best insurance provider, all 4 of our pups are covered, the wellness coverage is awesome, the illness coverage with Embrace is Awesome, the customer service is Awesome, the claim processing is awesome. I sleep better every night knowing our 4 pups are insured with with Embrace which is Awesome too.

I switched our dog's insurance from VPI to Trupanion a little over a year ago. How I WISH I had done it sooner!!! Trupanion is truly a JOY to work with. They process claims immediately and there is absolutely NO question as to what they cover, check arriving quickly in the mail. And, our premium just went DOWN from its original price. You can't get better than that. If you are going to buy pet health insurance, which I HIGHLY recommend, Trupanion is THE ONLY one that's worth it in the marketplace.
