My dog Ben has been with Healthy Paws since February, 2012. My experience with Healthy Paws has been just fantastic. He's 9 years old now; getting the up-front review of medical records to identify pre-existing conditions was really helpful. What I really appreciate as the months go by is how fast they review claims: we had a vet visit yesterday, the office faxed the claim form before we left, and today we received the Explanation of Benefits. The check will take a while to arrive, but knowing the numbers so promptly lets me budget accordingly. The premiums are very reasonable, too. I've dealt with other pet insurance companies who take weeks to process a claim. I recommend Healthy Paws to any pet owners I talk to!

We adopted our 6 yr old Bichon Frise from a Rescue Group and he was AKC registered. When I transferred the certificate over, I received a 30 day trial for pet insurance and took it. I renewed it at the end and very glad I did. Three months later while running in the yard, Clark yelped. I thought he had pulled a muscle. He was very quiet the rest of the day and by the middle of the night woke me up panting. When I took him to get some water, I put him on the ground and he could not get up and walk. I brought him directly to the emergency vet where it was diagnosed that he ruptured a disk in his back and had to have an emergency Hemilaminectomy. It took 2 1/2 weeks before he could walk. I wrote up the claim and sent it in and was very relieved that most of the bill was covered. Unfortunately, three years later it happened again, this time it was two disks. And once again, PetPartners came through. We love this little guy to bits and happy that we could help him through this.

Diezel, my four year-old German Shepherd was recently in Intensive Care with aspiration Pneumonia .For eight days he had to remain on Oxygen, had to be on high doses of antibiotics, and under round the clock care. Needless to say all of this got very expensive very quickly! After taking Diezel home to start the recovery process I contacted Healthy Paws pet insurance to see what red tape and hoops I would have to jump through to get any kind of reimbursement, if any! As her baby teeth were starting to be replaced with her adult teeth, problems started to occur. The Vet needed to pull 8 teeth and to our surprise, Trupanion covered the procedure since it is genetic in nature. I would absolutely recommend strong consideration to Trupanion if you bring a new pet family member into your home.

I had purchased my puppies insurance policy with embrace, by chance, she broke her tooth within the first couple weeks of coverage. The embrace process was seemless, and I will be a customer for the life of my dog. Good job Embrace!!!
