Excellent coverage and customer service

We have two Sealyham terriers (2 years and 1 year) and will be getting a third puppy who we will also be insuring. We had been with another major pet insurance company for approximately 10 years with other animals we had. That company was covering less and less compared to when we first were submitting claims. When we got our now 2 year old Sealy, after researching with our vets' offices as to which carrier seem to be the most popular - especially when it came to covering alternative modalities like acupuncture, laser therapy, etc. - Embrace was the carrier that seemed to be recommended. Having puppies always seem to involve trips to the emergency vet plus other miscellaneous issues that come up, and we have been extremely pleased not only with what is covered under our Embrace insurance but the turn around time. We have recommend Embrace to other friends and neighbors and will continue doing so.

Healthy Paws is true to their word.

While paying a monthly premium is a cost I hope I don't have to use, knowing that Healthy Paws is there if my dog Monk does have a medical problem gives me tremendous peace of mind. The high price of veterinary care is less of an issue because of the generous compensation plan and the speed with which Healthy Paws responds. Another plus is the company's financial commitment to animal rescue. The follow up email checking on our beloved pet's recovery is the icing on the cake!

Outstanding

My cat was first diagnosed with a mast cell tumor requiring diagnostic testing and fairly extensive surgery by a specialist as it was on her lip. Then 5 months later after that, she had a bout of enteritis that required testing to diagnose, and a 24 hour stay of supportive care at the ER vet. Having Healthy Paws allowed us to do what we needed to do for her medically without stressing as much about the financial aspects of getting her the care she needed. They cover exactly what they say they will cover; no hidden surprises. They processed my claims within 24 hrs of me submitting it to them, and there was a check in my mailbox within one week, and even e-mailed me after each incident to see how she was doing. Their monthly premiums are affordable and bring so much peace of mind as I have come to find out!

Excellent service, excellent coverage

I can't say enough about Healthy Paws. Their website is easy to follow, their claims process makes it easy to submit documentation -- the whole process is simple and efficient. They are so quick to notify you of receipt, to make a final determination, and to send back reimbursements. I am thrilled to have them on my side. Not only are they easy to use, they are quite caring and thoughtful. They personally reach out to inquire regarding the health of my dog when she is ill. I always feel like Healthy Paws is my partner, and one that is on our side. I have used other pet insurance carriers with previous animals -- though now I will only use Healthy Paws.

Best decision is having insurance

When large unexpected vet bills happen it's such a relief to have insurance to help cover them.

surgery

my dog was approved for surgery at primary vet. when vet saw the extent of the injury, thankfully he said he was not qualified to do the surgery and sent us directly to trauma vet. trupanion did not want to pay because they had not approved for this vet to do surgery. thank God we didn't answer cell phone as we were driving and kept on to trauma vets office. we waited 41/2 hrs, with tru panion and the vets office telling them how badly she needed the surgery. they kept refusing, but after 4 hrs they relented and ok'd the surgery. we were all at our wits end by then. I am torn as to whether I would recommend them to anyone because of this. but they did ok surgery and gave me the amount I would be paying right away, so that was a positive in their favor.

Great piece of mind

Our dog Jackson had a stroke and to rule out a brain tumor and ensure that is what's happened we had to get an MRI and an overnight stay at the vet hospital. The total bill after it was all said and done was almost 3K, we only had to pay 700, without the insurance we most likely wouldn't have had the piece of mind of knowing that Jackson was going to be fine.

Thankful to have pet insurance

Usually we don't need to use the insurance (thank goodness) but when we do it is definitely worth having! Wellness coverage is about equal to the premium for it so we don't have that but injury/illness coverage is wonderful. 3 unexpected/emergency vet bills and $1000.00 later it's great to be reimbursed 80%! Thank you!
