Staff is always friendly and helpful and response time is good. Only complaint is the benefit schedule is difficult to keep up with and certain items that aren't covered are confusing. We have had pet insurance for several years now and we made one claim in our first year. Back then it seemed like you basically took off the deductible and anything that wasn't regular vet care like shots was completely covered. We just recently made another claim and lots of little itemized things weren't covered because of the new benefits schedule. We understand costs go up but we have always paid increasing monthly amounts because we like the protection and understand our dogs are getting older, but if the benefits schedule keeps changing in this way we will have to consider other insurance options. We basically have the coverage in case something major comes up so we don't have to worry about making a difficult financial decision and can give our pets whatever the recommended care is, but if we don't have confidence in those things being covered it may not be worth the monthly expense.

Our pet insurance was most helpful when our English Cocker Josie developed hypothyroidism. She gained weight, lost her appetite and pretty much stopped eating, could not do walks, and had us very worried. After extensive testing and bloodwork we discovered her problem and treated with twice daily thyroid medication. Now she’s back to her happy, energetic, bouncy self again!! Our insurance was a big help to our budget — major peace of mind!!!

Very disappointed! We have been paying $35+ per month for more than two years and have yet to have any consideration for our efforts to keep our Maltese healthy by being sure to give her all the preventive measures that would be considered prudent.

This was the first time I made a claim, so the process was slowed a little because trupanion had to gather my dogs records, but after that was done I was paid quickly.

I feel better having my dog insured! She is very important to me and if she gets sick or injured,she will get the care she needs even if the cost is high!

I want to highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for the exceptional service they have provided me. Earlier this week, I submitted two claims in relation to a rather expensive leg surgery my Golden Retriever recently underwent. Unfortunately, he had complications and ended up in the emergency room a couple days later. In just a matter of a few hours following my claim submission, Healthy Paws had reviewed and approved both claims. I have carried Healthy Paws Pet Insurance on both of my Golden Retrievers since they day I brought them home and they have always responded to the claims I submit in short order. Purchasing pet insurance has been one of the best decisions I made when adopting my dog. I’ve never had pet insurance with previous dogs and after purchasing it this go around I realize I made a huge mistake in the past. Having a young pup who needs shots, regular check ups, and the occasional illness visit isn’t a worry with pet insurance. Great coverage and easy process to file claims.
