Pet insurance that surpasses people insurance
We have two mixed breed dogs ages 1 and 4.5. Both were adopted as puppies from a no kill puppy shelter when they were 9 weeks old. Our oldest did not have health coverage at the time of his traumatic canine fracture when he was two. After a $3000 root canal bill I spent significant time researching insurance options. While I knew Healthy Paws would not cover the pre-existing dental issue, we have had good luck getting various bills covered for expensive labs to work up GI issues and possible malabsorption as well as an ER visit for food bloat after Tanner helped himself to 4 pounds of kibble.
The youngest has had trouble with a knee problem since age 6 months. While this has not required surgery to date, he has gone to an orthopedic specialist, undergone x-rays and a month of physical therapy to include cold laser treatments. All of this was covered exactly how Healthy Paws describes their coverage and with no hassles! Tonic also had an ER visit for possible battery ingestion and the $200 X-ray was covered.
In general, office visits and labs or medication for routine preventative care are not covered benefits so you do need to figure this into the cost analysis when choosing a plan. It seems that this is a fairly standard practice for most pet insurance plans. It does not take many ER visits or expensive labs to at least break even on return of investment for monthly memberships.
We really appreciate how supportive and responsive Healthy Paws has been! The turn aroun

Very happy with quick turnaround on my claims
I, unfortunately, have a dog that has had some health problems the last 12 months. I have submitted about a dozen claims in that time and all of them have been handled professionally and quickly. I believe the claim review process at Embrace is very fair and, more importantly, transparent to me as a policyholder. I can see now why Embrace was so highly rated when I was looking for pet insurance policies two years ago.

CLAIM EXPERIENCE
Thank you Sara and Carly for making this experience pleasurable. As I mentioned before, I have used others in the past and Everything was a FIGHT and they tried their best to deny anything and everything.
I have recommended Health Paws to everyone and even posted on Face book how happy I am with your services.
I hope you have a great day and nice weekend.
Best,
D Ford (and Clifford too)

Embrace your pet has wonderful customer service.
Even though you deal with the company through the Internet, the customer service and communication is very personal.

Better!
I appreciate the timely response on this claim. I feel that if the vet says the dog needs to eat a certain food for a few days and I then have to buy it from the vet, it should be covered. It was part of the treatment, like the antibiotic I also had to buy and was covered.

Very Pleased with ASPCA
I've had the insurance for a couple of years and thankfully never needed to use it until recently. Both of my cats needed to be seen for illness and injury and I was very pleased to see how much of the claims were reimbursed. The process was easy and the reimbursements were quick and the explanations were very detailed. Thank you ASPCA!

So thankful for ASPCA Health Insurance
My cat, Forrest was diagnosed with diabetes in August of 2012. Luckily I had APSCA insurance to cover alot of the costs. Testing to regulate his glucose has become quite costly, but thankfully his ASPCA insurance covers quite a bit. It easy to send my claims and they reimburse me quickly!

Awesome!
Healthy Paws Pet insurance was one of the best decision I have made. My pet is my child, so when I found out that she had to have surgery, I was worried, stressed, and sad. On top of worrying about my dog, I also saw the medical bills rolling in. The Healthy Paws family made sure that during this crazy time, that the claims were taken care of in an easy, no hassle, timely manner. With in 3-5 days of filling out a claim, I received a check in the mail. And, to top it off, they sent me emails asking how my dog was doing after her surgery. When I started looking for insurance for my dog, I checked out several different companies. Then I talked to a friend who has several animals and recommended Healthy Paws and I couldn't be happier.
