Pays very little, not worth it

Has a "schedule" of what little it will pay for a list of conditions, will not pay for anything else

Healthy Paws is a MUST for pet owners!

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at Healthy Paws since we enrolled in October 2014. Highly, highly recommend. I've been telling all of our friends about Healthy Paws. Too bad "people" health insurance isn't as great.

Fantastic in every way

I can't say enough good things about Embrace: fantastic, responsive customer service; quick processing and payment of claims, easy to reach by phone and online. It's a real pleasure to be an Embrace customer.

Embrace Saved The Day

Duke, our 14 month old Great Dane/Boxer Mix we adopted was in the ER Hospital due to GI issues 3 different times within a 2 1/2 week span. After extensive tests, Duke had ate the covering off a toy and it was stuck in his lower intestine, it passed thankfully. He did not have surgery, but the vet bills accumulated to over $4500. We had just passed our starting coverage period and I was not sure Embrace would come through, but they did with no problems. We are so thankful to have Embrace Insurance, they have been a wonderful company to work with and we are so pleased with there timeliness of response in working claims. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wonderful company

I am so glad that I switched from my previous pet insurance to Healthy Paws. There are no complicated schedules or caps; they simply pay at the level of coverage you have selected. The deductible is annual, not per illness, surgery or accident and claims are processed incredibly fast.

denied, appealed, covered

I had my dog examined 7 days after my policy took effect because he had been coughing for a few days and it was only getting worse. To be exact, the coughing had been noticeable 2-3 days after the policy started, I watched it for a few days, then had a doctor look at him. He was diagnosed with Blastomycosis after diagnostic tests were performed. Trupanion initially denied my claim. They stated a policy exclusion that my dogs 'signs or symptoms could have been observable or reasonably noticed my myself or my vet' before I actually had him examined or noted his signs of being sick. I am a vet tech and work at a hospital, so I was able to have my dog looked at as soon as anything was noticeably wrong with him, so Trupanion's reasoning behind denying my claim was extremely stressful and frustrating. I had my dog looked at when I noticed something wrong, not like I waited for my insurance to start before I got care for him. I appealed the claim, at which point Trupanion asked for more detailed records and a note from the doctor. It annoyed me that they asked for more information after already denying the claim and me appealing it. They denied covering his illness again, but had a staff veterinarian call me to discuss my dogs case. It didn't take long talking to the veterinarian to decide that they should cover my dogs illness and the appeal would be overturned. She was very nice and tried to explain why my claim was denied so quickly. Basically because my dogs illness was so close to when my policy started, from an insurance perspective, I could have been waiting for it to start before getting care for my dog. Also, they try to close claims as quickly as possible. While I understood what she told me, it still frustrated me that they simply denied my claim before knowing all the information that was necessary to make the right decision. In the end, it all worked out, but I had to be proactive and deal with the stress of settling the claims for my dogs illness.

Joy of pet insurance

When our Shepherd Chief had his first attack of epilepsy we were devastated. At the time we did not realize the benefits our Embrace policy held. Having insurance helped us and him to lead a somewhat normal life with medication.

The BEST pet insurance available!!

Healthy Paws has been a life saver in helping to provide the care that my adopted pit/lab mix has needed. I researched all the pet insurance companies out there and by far, Healthy Paws is the best one. Its affordable, the claims are easy, and there are no hidden agendas. Because of Healthy Paws, I was able to provide my loving pit mix with the surgery ne needed. They truely care about making sure your pets gets the care that they need. Healthy Paws was the best decision I have made, aside from adopting my Titan. Thank you Healthy Paws!
