awesome
Zeus is a special bread of a dog being a Giant Schnauzer who is very active. Having need surgery was the tough decision to make and put a pet through that. They just don't understand what's going on and the cost is crazy. Torn tendon is a bad deal which could tear completely. I am thankful for VIP Pet Insurance it made the decision much easier. Highly recommend VIP you never know what can happen to your pet who is a member of your family.

Fast, efficient claims processing
The claims process is very easy - scan the vet's bill and attach it to the email to submit the claim! Claims are processed quickly and the reimbursement is directly deposited into the bank account. Can't ask for an easier claims submission and reimbursement process.

Great Plan and Savings!!
My wife and I were originally skeptical of pet insurance, but Embrace came highly recommended by our vet. The customer service is wonderful and they are very helpful in explaining the process and what needs to happen in order for us to get reimbursed. Our puppy ran into issues with eating things he was not supposed to and we have saved hundreds of dollars on procedures that were covered! In all it's a great plan, especially with a puppy.

Saved me a bundle!
My (almost 11 year old), yorkie named Nyla was really sick a couple of weeks ago. She was vomiting, and very lethargic apparently due to an enlarged liver. An ER visit and overnight hospitalization later, she's back to normal. The bill? Over $1500!!! Now, this would have probably bankrupt me but thanks to Healthy Paws, after the $250 deductible, EVERYTHING ELSE was covered at 90%. So I ended up paying a couple of hundred dollars as opposed to >$1500. If you're thinking about insurance GO WITH HEALTHY PAWS. Customer service was great too which matters when you're going through such a difficult time.

TTA surgery for cruciate repair
We insure two dogs with Trupanion, One never seems to need to see a vet while the other one has had claims for various injuries, ingestion of a foreign object, urinary tract infection etc.Recently and most costly was a TTA surgery to repair a torn cruciate ligament - total cost close to $5,000. Lucky for us we chose 90% coverage when we chose her policy.

When I submitted Sophie's claim for a UTI I had NO idea she had several before. She is my rescue and the shelter never informed me of her condition. It wasn't until after she was treated by my vet and I submitted the claim that I came to find out of previous issues. I am working with my vet to try to prevent any UTI from coming back. I don't think it was fair of your company do deny me coverage of this condition. In the past with my other dogs you have been prompt with the claims.

Excellent Coverage - Top Rate Company
Healthy Paws may be newer to the industry, but so far I am very impressed with this company. Their coverage is straight forward and easy to understand - No complicated coverage schedules or limits. Also, they don't have any claim limits for the life of the policy, which is a huge plus and a differentiator to much of the competition.
Claim wise, it would be impossible to be better. I had a large claim within the first month, and once I submitted my puppy's veterinary records the claim process happened fast and furious. My claim was reviewed, settled, and paid within 24 hours. I seriously couldn't believe the level of service.
Healthy Paws also has a cool iPhone app where you can submit claims as soon as you leave the vet. Very cool.
My only suggestion would be it would be nice to have EFT for claim reimbursement directly to your checking or PayPal account. Having to wait for and handle a paper check is a bit dated, and is something to keep in mind if you used a credit card to pay the vet bill (Healthy Paws reimburses you directly after you've made payment arrangements with your chosen vet).
So far, this is an excellent company that I highly recommend. If you are looking at pet insurance, look no further and buy the peace of mind you get with a Healthy Paws policy.

I am so impressed with Healthy Paws!
It was a HUGE comfort knowing we had Healthy Paws on our side as we were going through a very traumatic situation when our dog ruptured a disk in his back. We knew it was going to be expensive, and wondered if there would be any issues with such a large insurance claim. Healthy Paws acknowledged receipt of the claim right away (as always), and processed the claim within 2 days - I just received the check less than a week after filing.
We are great fans of HP and their mission, and we tell every pet-owner we know about how great they are. Their service ranks among the best of any company I've ever dealt with, and it is wonderful to know there are real people there who care about pets as much as we do.

efficient and easy process!
Very easy to file a claim, easy to understand and check on refund, rates are comparable in Ins, only a reduction in monthly cost, perhaps for age or length of time a member, would be the only thing I would recommend
