Our wonderful 4-yr. old pit bull recently had surgery to repair a torn ACL, and we sent the bill, which was approximately $3500., to Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for reimbursement.Within a day of their receiving the claim I received an email telling me that they were processing it and within another 3 days I received checks for 90% of the charges. The people who work at Healthy Paws have always been caring, helpful beyond expectations (including calling a veterinarian who had seen our dog last year but would not send the detailed notes that the insurance co. requested), and just overall exceptionally nice. We are so grateful to Healthy Paws because without them I'm not sure we would have been able to give our dog the medical treatment she needed.

I had insured my two dogs and kitty cat with other providers but I usually found that, after paying premiums for years, when it came time to use the insurance policy, the reimbursement process often was laborious and, in many cases, the company would not cover a cost which seemed to have been included. Plus these companies would try to get out of paying for care once the policy renewed by then classifying it as a "pre-condition." My experience with Healthy Paws has been completely different. The company has kept its word on its advertised promises and has handled all of my claims very expeditiously. I have been impressed by the company's ethic and how it has helped taken care of my furry family members. The only minor problem I had was with some files sent by our veterinarians to Healthy Paws but this was eventually resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Overall I have been very impressed with Healthy Paws and would recommend the company over any other pet insurance plan with which I am familiar.

Two days previously he had diarrhea so the local animal hospital said to bring him in immediately. We only had him for two weeks and his 30 day free trial had barely begun. Trupanion paid our claim immediately with so little hassle, it was WONDERFUL. I wish human insurance was this customer service oriented! It is truly fantastic to know you don't have to make hard decisions when it comes to your loved pets and best friends...having both of our kittens insured is the best thing ever. Thanks Trupanion!

My 17 month old Brainiac Lab Cooper for whatever reason (probably just lab) decided that a few rocks were as good a toy or treat as anything we could buy! So after they did not sit right and he started vomiting (foul smelling) food then liquid he we rush to the ER. There we discovered he had 2 rocks lodged in his large intestine. After discussing with the surgeon whether or not they would pass we elected to do surgery to remove them. 36 hours after the surgery he went home and the ER submitted the paper work to Trupanion. 1 1/2 weeks later I received an email stating the claim was processed and my check would be mailed, which I had in a week’s time after that.Yes, I would recommend Trupaion. What more can you ask than have a company stand behind you for all the things a lab can bring into your life.

I have been a customer for several years. I have had absolutely no problem with the coverage and have used the service on as needed occasion. I would rocommend this insurance to any pet owner. I have even recommended to my veternarian clinic. That's how good they are.
