I have been so pleased with the ease of filing claims and how quickly they cover the claim. My dog has horrible environmental allergies, that started when she was a puppy. Embrace has covered her dermatologist visit and even her acupuncture (which helps her tremendously). Other than the initial filing of the first claim, they have been so easy to work with. It feels almost too good to be true! Also, everyone I have ever spoken with at Customer Service has been extremely friendly. It's a nice change of pace to deal with a company like this.

Maverick, our 10 month old yellow Labrador retriever, broke his tibia when jumping up to get a toy! Because it was a Sunday, we had to rush him to the emergency hospital where they stabilized his leg until our vet could operate the following day. A pin and three wires were inserted. Maverick then had to return to the hospital for another night of care. Healthy Paws handled our claim with the utmost speed and professionalism. They are WONDERFUL!!Even though we have always owned dogs, the is the first time we have purchased insurance. After careful research, we chose Healthy Paws, and are we glad we did!!! 😍 We tell everyone, including complete strangers, about the company and the care they exhibit!! We have received numerous e-mails inquiring about Maverick's surgery and recovery. Customer service is top notch!! I can't imagine anyone choosing another pet insurance when Healthy Paws is the best! There's a reason they are ranked number 1!!!! You never think a terrible accident could happen to such a young puppy, but it certainly can and does!! When my 9 year old Shih Tzu mix Lexi, was diagnosed with a devastating auto immune disorder, it was a comfort to know she had pet insurance. We were able to truly focus on getting the care she needed to recover without worrying about the cost. It was Lexi's first claim, and a large one. However, in less than two weeks, the claim was approved. And each time I spoke to a customer service person, at Trupanion, they were compassionate and helpful. I'm so glad we got our dogs covered, and are telling all our friends about our positive experience with Trupanion!

We decided to get pet insurance for Abby when we got her based on her breed and thought it was a good thing to have. BOY are we glad we did! She was diagnosed with chiari which in itself is expensive with the mri's etc...but there are other issues that come with it. WITHOUT embrace we would not have been able to afford the treatments etc.... definitely recommend to any pet owner.

Recently I spent close to 4K on my 12 year old dog to have a fatty tumor (non cancerous) removed from his leg. It has significantly improved his quality of life, but it certainly decimated our finances. My mother had a 3.5K bill for her dog that swallowed parts of a dog toy and my sister has spent over 10K on her dog treating Valley Fever. Both of the other two dogs were under 6 years. I now carry health insurance on my other two dogs as they are active in the water (injury potential), attend doggie daycare (easy to pick up other diseases), travel with us (could get lost), live in the woods (disease & injury potential from wild predators), etc. The only negative is that there is a lot of paperwork your vet must supply in the beginning. Also the orthopedic exam has to be done after their insurance date. So it will cost me another vet visit.
