Can't imagine not having a Healthy Paws policy

My chocolate lab has had a few misadventures in the past year related to ingestion of foreign objects that have led us to seek emergency/ after-hours care, and each time I have been beyond grateful to have coverage through Healthy Paws. The claims submission process couldn't be easier or more straightforward, and they are always processed quickly (and with no questions asked) so you have less to worry about in these times of unexpected distress. Our policy's monthly rate did increase about 8% after our first 9 months of coverage, but as I understand it those rates never increase due to claims you've filed. The customer service they've demonstrated has been excellent, and they genuinely care for the well-being and health of your pet.

Healthy Paws is a Lifesaver!

I'm not one to post reviews, but I must post this because Healthy Paws is the best pet insurance I've ever experienced - and they stand behind everything they say on their website. To say they are a lifesaver is an understatement. When I researched pet insurance for my french bulldog, I chose Healthy Paws because of the unlimited lifetime benefits, no restrictions on potential breed issues, and great feedback regarding customer support. First, my Frenchie has serious on-going allergy issues - covered. Last month, he ruptured a disc in his back and needed major surgery - covered. (Of course, coverage depends on your deductible and plan. But I'm taking thousands and thousands of dollars my plan has covered that has so reduced the stress and financial worry.) Every time I've submitted a claim, it has been taken care of quickly; and they email me every time to see how my pup is doing! I can't recommend Healthy Paws enough!

Best Ever Pet Insurance Company

We have had Embrace policies for both of our labs. We selected this company after extensive research of what is available. I must say that they are absolutely true to what they advertise. We got a policy that did not cover preventive or routine care costs, and did not cover medications -- and we had a large deductible to make it affordable. We wanted to be protected against the large expenses. Both of our labs died of cancer, with extensive costs at the end. All of our large costs were covered quickly, accurately, and with amazing and supportive customer service. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Even our specialist vet's office said they are the BEST. I will get our next dog insured by Embrace the minute we get him or her.

Awesome!

Long story short: dog had eye ulcer that required 7 vet visits including a specialist. Submitted all paperwork and had reimbursement about a month later. There was a delay but that was on the vet side of it. ASPCA staff were always super helpful and pleasant.

Hope for Ike

When our dog Ike was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, we had little hope for him. However, after learning that Healthy Paws pays for stereotactic radiosurgery which can reduce the tumor size with minimal to no side effects on our dog, we were excited to have some hope for his recovery. All of Ike's lab tests, the procedure, and his prescriptions were covered with no issues and we received reimbursement checks in less than a week. One of those claims was very large and occurred during labor day week, but we still received the same quick service and all of our questions were answered in a very short time.

ASPCA Insurance is there when I need it.

I have had a rescue cat, Scruffy, for about 8 years now. I got ASPCA insurance for him about a year after I rescued him, not because he needed it then but because I knew, down the road, I would have to deal with medical issues. Happily I rarely used my insurance until last year but since then, these good folks have been there for me as Scruffy was diagnosed with diabetes (and the cost of care for this disease is not cheap). In addition he developed thickening of his intestinal wall and we are trying various procedures and tests and bloodwork to find the cause. Through it all, ASPCA has been there to help with the bills and calling to check on my kitty. Great customer service.

Peace of Mind with Embrace

After my first dog was diagnosed with a liver disease, I became very familiar with the burden of covering extensive vet costs out of pocket. When I adopted my second dog, I was adamant of getting insurance - at least for year one. Remington has since turned one and growing and I plan to keep Embrace! I am comforted knowing that no matter what happens, Embrace is there to support me in doing what it takes to make sure Remington always gets the best care.

Nice people, but VERY limited coverage

Pros: Nice people and nice website. Cons: You must repeatedly submit a claim; I had multiple lost claim forms (not sure how that happens on a web-based system). I have never had a single claim paid...ever. Each time I'm told there was some pre-existing injury or the the coverage doesn't include the care (e.g. "A well-check up is not included."). In fact, when I purchased the insurance, I received an exhaustive list of all the future injuries that would not be covered. It was huge. I would NOT recommend paying for this insurance unless you have a newborn pet. I paid over three hundred dollars for a plan and it is $300 I will never see again.
