Vet bills can be VERY costly. While it is difficult to pay the bill up front... it is peace of mind to know that I will be reimbursed significantly by nationwide. I wish that this would have been around 10yrs ago when I adopted my first dog (a min-pin). He developed diabetes and the vet bills were astronomical. I recently had my kitty develop a Urinary obstruction. I learnt from the vets that this was life threatening and a very common thing among young-adult male cats! We love our cat and there was no question that we want to provide him with the best medical care for something this serious. He ended up having to stay in the ER for 24hrs with doctors doing everything to help him get through this. In all this chaos, HealthyPaws was there when I needed them - right from making it as simple as being able to upload my cat's medical records from my phone using an app to reaching out to the vet to get some missing medical record themselves, they took away our tension of worrying about the financial logistics of this traumatic experience. The best thing I did was to finally get pet insurance when I got my newest cats. Cats can hide sickness till it's almost too late to do anything which can easily leave you with a large bill that even if you want to do all you can without insurance you can't. I work as a Vet Tech so I see this A LOT so I wonder why it took me so long but now That I have it I am so glad. My young 1 year old was diagnosed with heart disease and my 9 year old hyperthyroid. I am thanks to insurance able to have Steven treated with I131 to cure him so he doesn't need daily drugs 2Xdaily for the rest of his life and for Cloud I was able to have the doctors throw every test in the book at him to figure out what is going on. I have peace of mind to know I can give the best care I can afford to my cats cause I have the coverage to.

My boys will be 8 years old in a few weeks. We try to stay healthy, but things do happen. I am so thankful for Nationwide and the coverages that they offer. We use the wellness items each year and have recently been dealing with some allergy issues. No matter what, Nationwide has not left us down.
