Don’t bother

I called just to ask about pre-existing conditions and got the run around. This lady actually said if you ever have a soft tissue injury then it could be injured again due to the weather or an accident. I asked to speak to someone who could answer a specific question and she refused, reading to me again from the policy she had in front of her.

trupanion - Best Investment Ever

Dealing with Trupanion is always a pleasure. Claims processing is always fast, efficient and so very user friendly. Wish we would have discovered them years ago. Have recommended them to many friends who have all had the same remarkable experience.

Nationwide Pet Insurance is peace of mind always.

Our beautiful dog Fuss suddenly got very, very sick and it was the scariest, most heart wrenching two weeks of our lives. Because we have Nationwide pet insurance, her excellent veterinary care and hospitalisation saved our baby's life and didn't lead us into financial ruin. We have so much appreciation for Nationwide and recommend their pet insurance 110%. Sending an enormous, heartfelt thank you from Kathy, Chuck and Fuss. :)

don't bother switching if you have existing insurance.

Forget switching to Pets Best if you have any existing pet insurance and have made a claim. My dog every so often needs an injection $45 to get her through summer allergy months. Not always but they really help her. Because she'd had a prior injection on another policy - they denied the claim citing "existing condition" even though she has not been diagnosed with any 'condition'. I didn't even bother to dispute or waste my time dealing with them. I just cancelled immediately. On the plus side cancelling was easy and i received the refund of unused policy payment back quickly. If you have a new pet or insuring for first time - this company may well work for you. Based on my first and only experience with their claims dept - i cannot recommend.

Why am I paying premiums?

Filed my first claim for $517 which included x-rays, radiology fees, and a couple of tests for a brand new condition. Based on what they advertise, should be covered, right? After a full month of processing, the claim quietly came back as completed - and not one penny of it was covered! The only explanation on the EOB was "Other exclusion/limitation." What's that mean? I still don't know! They do NOT answer emails. And if you call, I hope you like listening to hold messages! I've called twice and been on hold for over 30 minutes before hanging up. One time I followed an option "If you want us to call you back, press 1" -- nothing happens with that either. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to contact them to cancel this worthless policy. Hopefully, I'll get hold of a human at some point!

Nationwide is great on paying claims promptly and also checks to see how my dog is doing.

Nationwide checks to see how my dogs health is after I file a claim. They pay the claim promptly. I recommend Nationwide to alot of people. I love them
