Princess Marshmellow's annual check-up

Princess Marshmellow went for her annual check. She had slight weight loss and surprising to me fleas!!! Vet fixed her up good. I am so glad I have pet insurance. I love my kitty very much and only wish for her to have a good life. We adopted Princess Marshmellow from the Humane Society. I specifically wanted an older kitty. She is loved and cared for. I always recommend pet owners to invest in pet insurance, especially Embrace insurance.

Helpful claim reps

We have had 3 claims with Embrace for our 4 year old Viki. I have always found the reps to be considerate of the pet and efficient in getting the refund to us. They keep us well informed and are ready to answer any questions we have. Embrace came highly recommended to me by my vet!

Customer Service is the BEST

Every experience dealing with the customer service staff of Embrace..whether by email or phone has been nothing but pleasant, helpful and reassuring. And knowing that I have my dog covered for not only Wellness expenses but serious health issues should they arrive gives me peace of mind.

Got back $1400.00!!! From ASPCA pet insurance

I bought the insurance 2 years ago knowing my Newfoundlands were prone to leg/ hip injuries. Fortunately, Onyx cooperated and didn't blow his ACL until after the required year without a leg problem, and I was able to get back one third of his vet bill. There is a 60% chance he will blow the other ACL, and if he waits until 180 days from the first injury, I might even get reimbursed a third for that as well! The customer service people were very helpful and when I didn't understand some of the complicated policy limitations, the customer service supervisor was super nice and made everything clear to me. I received my reimbursement within a month of submission. I am glad I have pet insurance with ASPCA

Customer Oriented

We've had pet insurance through Petshealth Car Plan for over 10 years now. The customer service has been a big help - especially when we have submitted some rather large claims in the past. They have also come quite a long way in terms of claims processing turn-around time. I have recommended their plan many times to friends and collies (I mean colleagues!).

Impressive Customer Service, Great Experience

I took my 2 year old Himalayan to her veterinarian after vomiting for a day and just not acting like herself. Blood work and x-rays showed nothing abnormal which I was very grateful for. She was treated with stomach meds and given fluids. Not so unusual with such a long haired cat. What was surprising was, when I called to find out if she was covered and the customer service representative informed me that she was. Not only was my claim unbelievably easy to submit but I received my check in less than 10 days. An insurance company that does what it says it will! I could not be more impressed with their service! If you love your pets like I do, get them Healthy Paws !

Excellent Customer Service

You don't have to hold, or press a whole lot of numbers before you get to speak to a live person. I got step by step updates on the progress of my claims, and all employees have a genuine interest in helping. Courteous and timely responses to all all inquiries

Increasingly Poor Service

Every claim that I submit it seems like I automatically get the "apology email" saying that "it is not like us" and "we don't normally take this long". It is becoming clear that you do normally take this long and you take advantage of your customers.

Wellness and Illness Cpverage

Overall, Embrace was timely with their explanation of benefits and covered most of my wellness and illness claims. My rescued dog was very sick the first year that we had him and most of his bills were covered. My one complaint was that when we got him from the rescue agency which pulled him from a high kill shelter, he had skin, ear, eye, and gastrointestinal conditions which subsequent bouts of the same illness were not covered for 12 months.

Great product-beware renewal rates

I just received my first renewal notice and was disappointed that my rate was increased more than 15 %. I understand why rates increase but feel Healthy Paws was deceptive in the assertions made on its website that premiums would only "slightly" increase on an annual basis. When questioned, a customer service representative stated That they hope to keep premiums under 10% but had to raise them higher due to an unusual claims this year. I don't see how even a 10% increase can ever be considered slight. I would recommend for claim handling, but with a caution about how expensive your policy will be one day.
