At first I was very confused at how the insurance worked. I have never made a claim and I have had the pet insurance for 3 years. My vet (Brian Melius at Met. Small Animal) explained it to me that I could claim my most recent vet visit. Charlie was experiencing some GI issues. I immediately called and spoke to a Trupanion rep. and they were extremely helpful. I will be submitting my claims from now on. Thank You!

I decided to protect my pup when I received her at 4 weeks old. I invested in Nationwide Pet Insurance and have been extremely satisfied since. Gracie Lou has had normal visits, i.e. vaccinations, teeth cleaning and thank goodness, no severe medical issues. When I started with NPI, I had to mail the claim in. I'm in Thibodaux. NPI is in California. Patiently, I waited and was reimbursed what I was entitled to according to policy. What I am extremely happy about is the latest "online claim" and payment results in less than a week!!! Kudos to you....and to me. I am very pleased with the bank transactions regarding the payment procedure. I love receiving news about pets in general, safety issues and tips, etc. I would like to enter the sweepstakes, but I don't know many pet owners that want to invest in pup coverage. So without friends to recommend, I cannot enter. Too bad. Now since I enrolled in NPI, my premium as gone up. THAT, I DO NOT LIKE. So if at all possible, please keep the premium at a minimum low. If this gets too expensive and the economy continues to go down, I will be forced to stop as i have other priorities financially speaking to meet.
