The insurance you must have for your pet
If you have ever go to the Pet ER, you might have seem some Pet hospitals ask you to pay deposit before they give further treatment to your pet. You feel heart breaking when you see Some have to loan the money to give their pet treatments or even give up on their pet because it is too expensive.
We had a almost 16 year old dog Looka. She was diagnosed cancer on July, 2011. If not because PetBest, we cannot go further for her radiation and surgery. Thank God that we have her cancer treatment covered ( we claim 8000 in total) she is still live and kicking!
Last month, she was found by our Vet her liver ALT level elevated, all the checks and treatments is another 1300 dollars bill. We submit our claim and right away received PetBest response.
I feel safe that I have the choice to protect our dog because the insurance. I hope all the pet owners has this choice for their pets as well!

Trupanion Not All It's Cracked Up to Be
After being financially devastated by my old dog's chronic illnesses, I researched pet insurance for the young dogs and kittens. Trupanion got a lot of really good reviews, so I went with them. In the three years I've had this insurance, the monthly fees have more than doubled per pet (the original $23 per month is now $50 each for my dogs). I've made two claims in the last year, and in both cases, the insurance check came nowhere near the 90% they claim they pay. If your animal is injured or sick and you bring him into the vet for treatment, Trupanion doesn't pay for the examination of the injured/sick pet. So if your bill is $100 and $50 of it was for the examination, you're only going to get 90% of $50, not the full amount you paid. In their defense, Trupanion did state they don't pay examination fees in their policy (which I missed in the small print), but with the doubled monthly fees, I am finding this insurance not all it's cracked up to be.

Waist of Money
We got a 4 month old Terrior who has gotten sick several times first with upset stomach, then an ear infection and finaly was diagnosed with Hip Displaysia and had surgery all before reaching 9 month. I got insurance when she was 6 month old and nothing i listed above was covered by embrace. They brushed everything off as a pre-existing condition which is not covered. I don't know about you but i don't see how an upset stomach in a 4 month old puppy becomes a pre-existing condition. I understand not covering a $2000 surgery but not covering an $120 vet bill for an upset stomach?

Quick on refunds, not fair on regional cost
I do like this insurance and they are always quick with refunds. But because the surrounding counties are rural, my regional costs do not reflect the cost in my county. I usually only get %50 refund.

Illness Claim paid in just under 3 weeks! Awesome
I've had only wonderful experiences with the Embrace Team while submitting wellness claims and just recently had to take my pup in for emergency surgery! I was so scared! I sent in her illness claim forms and received emails from the Embrace staff periodically throughout the review process updating me on the status of the claim. The claim reimbursement payment was received in less than 3 weeks! Quite impressive, but most impressive is the continued phenomenal customer service I receive from Embrace. Signing up was the best decision I ever made!

The best insurance I ever investigated
I looked at dozen of pet insurance companies in depth and even went with another insurance company only to discover they were not as advertised. So I cancelled them and went with Trupanion and they were everything they said they were. I have been so impressed.

Good Insurance!
I adopted a very crazy, active, untrained rescue (Dog) when she was one year old. I immediately got Trupanion Insurance for her, knowing from my old dog how expensive treatment (especially water therapy!) can be. After a year, my new dog was diagnosed with Colitis and Heartworms (she had been on preventative). Trupanion has quickly reimbursed me 90% for covered expenses, a huge help! They continue to reimburse me for the prescription medication that will likely be needed for the rest of my dog's life. Trupanion even reimbursed the cost of Veterinary prescription diet. (Which unfortunately did not work.) The only reason I didn't give a rating of 10 is because Vet visits are not a covered expense, and my dog had MANY of those prior to the correct diagnosis and treatment. My dog is now healthy, and I have peace of mind that I can keep her that way with Trupanion's support.
