I am so happy that I have Nationwide pet insurance. I have been fortunate that my dogs have been healthy until recently. I lost my Luigi to kidney failure in July . Hugh Hefner was just diagnosed with bladder and kidney stones. Unlike many pet owners I know who do not get proper vet care for their pets- I feel great that I always get them the care that they need and deserve. Scooter has colitis,arthritis and small intestine motility issues and recently went to the vet. I live in a rural area and my vets prices are extremely reasonable which allows the dollar amount assigned to each diagnosis stretch a little further.

Moose our lab puppy is 1.5 years old. He tends to put everything in his mouth. The day he stopped eating and was constantly vomiting we rushed him emergently to the vet hospital. We just had gotten Nationwide insurance for our dog. We presented the card to the vet hospital and they said-we have s great relationship with nationwide. Long story short-after two nights inpatient our puppy came home. The claim was sent to nationwide and they were quick to send a check for 90% of the claim. We will continue to have nationwide as long as we have animals! Great company!

Nationwide has always come through for me whenever I contacted them concerning Gracie’s medical issues. As a retiree, veterinary expenses can be an issue but Nationwide has alleviated undue concern.

My only complaint really is processing time. It takes on average 30+ days to get a claim processed. It’s just tough sometimes waiting that long. On average car insurance claims take 5-10 days and regular human healthcare claims about 20 days. I do recommend your insurance company with the caveat about processing time. Otherwise your company is great, friendly, helpful!!
