Excellent but slow to pay

Nationwide is excellent pet insurance. We have a $1000 deductible for each of our two dogs. Unfortunately, our 6 year old developed back problems and our almost 9 year old was just diagnosed with Lymphoma, all in 2019! I called to ask about a yearly monetary limit for the year and was delighted to find out there is none. But the reimbursement for our large vet bills is quite slow.

very happy with what I know about the coverage but i am unclear about what is/isn't covered and can't find that information

Submitting a claim is easy! I can't find the email address to submit a claim to though. Also, having trouble difficulty navigating website to find what exactly is covered by my insurance but I do remember when signing up being pleased with this plan over competitors. Overall happy with this insurance.

The claims process is simple and fast

Chase had a bit of a tough year with a cancer scare and then an ear infection and stomach issue. Early on I spoke to one of your customer service reps and she was extremely helpful and provided clarity to the entire process as well as had sincere empathy for my situation. Nationwide Pet Insurance gives peace of mind

Nationwide major medical and wellness is the best investment ever. My Matilda had a seizure in early January and all but $100 of the Emergency ER vet was covered. Nationwide even reached out about 6 weeks later to check in on Matilda. Thankfully she has not experienced another seizure but I have the peace of mind to know vet costs can be reimbursed by the insurance. The wellness clause is also helpful for yearly check-ups, flea-tick/heartworm Rx's, dental cleaning, etc. I know people may baulk at the price but your fur baby is worth it.

Claim payment could be quicker

Filing a claim is quick and easy when I email or fax but why does it take 5-6 weeks to receive a reimbursement? With technology, there should be no reason for long processing. Other than that, I am satisfied with the service.

We really love VPI/Nationwide.

VPI/Nationwide is always there for us and we don't have to worry about the cost. We have been patient parents of Nationwide for almost 12 years now. You really helped our previous shepherd with her medical costs and now covering our cost for Champagne Bubbles, our shepherd. Thank you for all you do. I have also used the doctor talk line and they were very helpful. It is nice to know that in the middle of the night, I can call someone that is knowledgeable and will help us. Keep doing what you are doing. If I had one suggestion, it would be to consider covering major things like spay/neuters, hip dysplasia etc, even if just a small percentage of the cost.
