Way too long to be reimbursed !
I was a Claims Adjuster at Liberty Mutual handling Car Accidents and Injuries. We HAD to pay our Insureds in 7 days for Vehicle Damage and ongoing Personal Injury.
Your Claims are paid in 30 days, at best!! This time period is way too long for Insureds, that are unprepared for a devastating illness of their pets. Perhaps you should hire more Claims Adjusters, it's not like you need to investigate. The Vet Bill shows it all, you either cover the procedure or you don't. Very unhappy with your reimbursement guidelines.

You guys rock
Our puppers recently had an accident and needed surgery, so that he was able to walk normally.... if it hadn’t been for nationwide we would not have been able to afford the surgery! He went in February 4 th and had an ACL and meniscus tear repaired
We are a blended family with 6 children between the ages of 12 and 24 our only “together” child is our rescue Fireball, he means the world to all of us and thanks to nationwide we are able to give him the best care!!!!!

We love Healthy Paws!
Unfortunately our dog needed 3 surgeries and he's only 4 y/o, but every claim was reimbursed in a timely fashion. The premium, deductible and reimbursement rate are very reasonable and affordable.

It can't be any easier
Scan, submit claim, done!! It can't be any easier. Receive submission confirmation and days later an explanation of payment followed by money being put into our checking account. Simple as that! What more can be said.

NO ONE BETTER!
Isabelle, my Golden Retriever is 6 years old. She attends daycare 4 days a week, goes to work with me one day a week, swims at an indoor dog pool year-round, and is a certified therapy companion. We visit hospitals, schools, and assisted living facilities. She pretty much goes everywhere with me. Christmas day we visited my daughter and Isabelle was running with her dog having a great time. I then heard a yelp, and she was limping badly. Spent Christmas day in the emergency with her. Turns out she was modifying her run (I think) to adapt to my daughters’ much smaller dog, and tore her ACL. This required expensive surgery and subsequent rehab work. I submitted the bill, it was quickly paid minus my deductible. These guys are awesome! One unexpected accident can cost thousands. This insurance is so worth the cost. Years ago, I had insurance with another company but got tired of all the paperwork to be filled out, only to be told denied. I have recommended Healthy Paws to everyone I know. My daughter’s dog is also insured by them. The claim process is simple. I actually take a pic and send the bill while I am at the vet’s office. The people are wonderful and what is really nice, you don’t feel like you are dealing with an insurance company trying to find a loophole to not pay. I will never go uninsured with my dog, nor should you. But the insurance is only as good as the people. That’s why it is only Healthy Paws for me! Thanks, guys! I wish my coverage was this good!

I am so incredibly grateful.
Thank you so much for creating such an easy way to file a claim and track its progress, and thank you even more for for the easy reimbursement straight into my account. I won't complain about the processing time. The Christmas/New Years holiday and the sheer amount I claimed was probably mind-boggling. I cried all over again when I saw how much this insurance reimbursed me. One of Emo's vets assured me Nationwide would help and begged me to please let her keep trying to find what was causing her lungs to struggle. I'm so glad I believed in my cat and my vet. The vets were unable to prove either Pulmonary Embolism or Pneumonia... but today, she's running and playing again, fully recovered from a near-death experience (and probably minus a couple extra cat-lives).
Most importantly, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for saving her life! :')
P.S. I think her breed is spelled: Nebelung (The massive list of cat breeds is one of the coolest things about this site. It really makes it look like you care and know what you're talking about. Love it.)

Denied ear infection as preexisting condition
Denied ear infection as pre-existing condition when we've had the insurance for several years. Ridiculous. Seems like almost every claim is denied for 1 reason or another.
