Worth EVERY Cent!!
Chabubba has been insured since the first week we had her....she was rescued from a Humane League after her owner passed away. She has had 3 operations for tumors (2 were benign) but the 3rd was Mast Cell Cancer. Nationwide Insurance (VPI) has always covered her surgeries. Now that she is almost 11, we pay a bit more than we used to but she is worth it. What a piece of mind to know that a large medical expense is going to be reimbursed. Thank you, Nationwide!!!

Healthy Paws is a Life Saver - Literally
When I first brought my little guy, Bear, home I opted to purchase a pet insurance policy on the advice of a friend. After a lot of research, I decided to enroll Bear with Healthy Paws as their reputation was outstanding (at the time - on paper). I remember thinking at the time that I’d likely rarely, if ever, have a reason to use the insurance, but I felt better being protected. Boy, was I wrong. Turns out, Bear likes to chew/destroy everything under the sun. We had spent so much time/money puppy-proofing our home, and yet, he still found things to get into. On two different occasions (in a two-month period of time), his bad habit had serious consequences and Bear required emergency veterinary care, an invasive abdominal surgery and several follow-up visits due to chronic intestinal inflammation. While I was busy having Bear’s back and helping him to heal, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance had mine. Their app makes submitting claims a breeze. Their customer service is outstanding and available late into the evening for questions (and you always get a happy/helpful voice on the other end of the line – we all know how rare that is these days). A rep from Healthy Paws even reached out to me the other day simply to find out how Bear was doing, and if we needed anything. I was shocked – in the best possible way. I’ll be eternally grateful that Healthy Paws eased the financial burden and allowed me to access the best care for my baby. I’ll be a life-long client and will recommend them to everyone who will listen.

Wonderful but somewhat restricted
I have been using Nationwide since it took over for VPI and have been very happy with the help. It really makes a big difference when you have little issues pop up and think that they are wonderful for that stuff but the wellness plan could be better. I was very surprised when I found out that they only cover so much of tick and flee prevention. I guess any bit helps but I thought that it would be more. I have also referred multiple customers and never received a notification,

Better than Human's Insurance
I wish my heath insurance was as easy and efficient as this insurance is. From leaving the vet to having the money deposited in my account was 4 or 5 days. No argument on what is covered and what isn't. It is made very clear and they pay you.

Shorter time
Although I was reimbursed for Oscar's last vet visit, I think that it takes way too long. Almost four weeks for my return, in this day and age with electronic methods I feel that 2 weeks is plenty of time to take care of this.

Good experience so far!
So far we are very pleased with Nationwide. They paid about if not exactly 90% of my dogs vet bills for the two claimes we have put in. When I called to see how we would get the check the respresentative was very friendly and helpful. So far so good!

Im so happy we decided to take out Pet Insurance through Nationwide, its made our lives much easier!!
Pet Insurance is nothing short of amazing. Our previous dog, we did not have insurance and we spent a lot of money on vet bills. When my employer sent out information that they are going to be offering pet insurance , i called my wife immediately. We decide in a short amount of time after reading over the paper work and the information on the website that we were going to take out the insurance for a little while to see if it would be a benefit. Well after only 1 month and 2-3 visits to the vet we decided that we will NEVER go without having pet insurance. If you are like us then your pet or pets are like your children and you will do whatever it takes to make sure that they are happy and healthy. With having pet insurance a lot of the tough decisions that come up due to injuries, eating something they shouldn't have or just checkups, it makes it 100 times easier to do whatever it takes.
I do not have any complaints at all for the service that we have received from Nationwide Pet Insurance. The only thing i would like to see in the future is a clear and precise breakdown of what is covered and what isn't. With that being said i have not gone out of my way to read through paper work or read online to see if this type of information is already out there. So if this type of information is out there i take back my comment.
I have recommended Pet Insurance to everyone that i work with at my office. We had a meeting and reviewed company perks and pet insurance came up. I was the only one there that has it. I gave all of the benefits my wife and i have had regarding pet insurance. I just hope everyone listened to what i had to say!! I also have recommended pet insurance to all of my friends and family that currently or are thinking about getting pets.
I wanted to note up here that we have had 4+ claims that we have submitted. I also wanted to note that the time it had taken to handle the claim has varied each time, but honestly we have never worried about it being to fast or to slow. Just having the comfort in knowing that it will be taken care of and we may get most of what we paid upfront back is all we need.

A Great Insurance Provider For Both of My Goldens
My 11 year old golden had two very large growths on her back and neck. Having Nationwide allowed me to have the growths removed without hesitation. Surgery went well and my girl is fully recovered. Thanks to nationwide for not having to finance the surgery.
