Good insurance

This is good insurance to have but the payment limits can be frustrating. My dog had cancer a few years ago and needs a checkup with his oncologist a few times a year, which includes an ultrasound each time. The radiology limit is so low that his insurance pays for less than one ultrasound per year. Overall, it has been a big help and it really helped us to get partial reimbursement for his chemo. Our other dog recently died but he had the upgraded plan that paid 90% of everything after a $250 deductible. That plan was awesome! They even paid for his cremation. Claims are easy to submit through the Vitus Vet app, and payment is simple with direct deposit. I have looked at other pet insurance companies and Nationwide has been superior to everyone else. If we get any more pets in the future we will insure them with Nationwide.

Don't even want to know what I would do without Nationwide.

Rebel is doing very well and is a healthy 7-month-old who likes to fly through the air and leap over his older brothers. Havong Nationwide helps me to keep all my 4-legged companions healthy and happy!

Professional and prompt handleing of claim.

This is my second pet with Embrace. I am well pleased with their efforts in responding to my claim. At this time, I would not consider another pet insurer.

Horrible

I took my dog to two veterinary a year ago because there was something wrong with her. She wasn’t eating for almost a week and she seemed sluggish. The first vet said nothing was wrong with her and I end up paying $115 for the visit. The next day she collapsed when I went to walk her which scared the hell out of me. I took her to the ER and they said her had Lyme disease which she never showed any signs of until she collapsed. I had all the paperwork both vets provided me and I submitted the claim and faxed it thinking it would be faster. Nationwide said they needed more information? My dog just reached a year but the people I received her from never took her to get her shots or anything so she had no previous hospital records. After three months going back and fourth with nationwide they still wanted previous hospital records? I wrote an email explaining the situation and they said they’ll expedite the email for review. I get a letter with nationwide stating that they couldn’t get in contact with the ER and that they’re sorry for the inconvenience. It’s been a year and I still haven’t gotten reimbursed for the visits. I’m about to cancel Nationwide. They’re a horrible company when it comes to pet insurance and I do not recommend them to anyone who is looking to provide the best care for their pet.

There when we need you!

We recently had an emergency Vet visit and the cost was hefty. But Nationwide did come through and helped ease some of that financial burden. Thankful for what we received for the claim. And more thankful that our Tyson was fine after the visit.

Simple claim process

The claims process is very simple, I snap a photo of the vet bill and upload to my Pets Best account. My claims are processed quickly, within one week and I receive emails stating each step of processing the claim is in, from submission to payment processed.
