UNDERPAYMENT FOR CLAIMS FILED
I faithfully pay my premiums through payroll deduct without fail and expect 100% wellness protection per your constant advertising and harassment for more money. When I filed my claims for Magnus this year for his wellness exams, Nationwide only paid 'allowables", leaving me hanging with the balance for these visits. What is the point of having insurance with Nationwide? I could save my premiums and pay the wellness visits in full with the savings.

Scout’s Eye
After one day at work Scout has an excess amount of yellow discharge coming from her eye. After consulting a vet via the helpline they suggested I take her in and have it looked at. All in all, the cost for the visit was well in the $100 range but Nationwide covered the 90%. If I didn’t have Nationwide I wouldn’t have felt as “at ease” with the decisions I made.

Thanks For Helping, Just Wish The Process Was a Bit Faster
From a non-business perspective, overall, thank you very much for proving my money hasn't been wasted these 6 months. I really appreciate the financial relief that your service has provided for this visit.
On a strictly business review process I wish there was more translation of the progress of a claim and/or the process was faster. I waited nearly a week just to see if the claim was received correctly. (I did not receive even an auto-message to say it was received). Then I waited about 2-3 weeks to see what was happening with the policy. I would have preferred regular updates as a new customer as it made it really hard to prepare financially.

What a relief!
When we discovered a lump (turned out to be a cyst) on Bree's neck area, we were concerned about what it could be. But what a comfort it was to know that Nationwide was going to help us financially no matter what was going on. What we didn't know going in was how quick and seamless the claim and reimbursement process would be. I would (and do) recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to family and friends with pets, to help with unexpected expenses and focus on helping our furry friends get better.

Thankful for pet insurance. Claims take too long to process and or receiving reimbursement. Insurance increase is too pricey.
Despite multiple attempts made by our vets office to file the same claims. It appears they are being lost. I never use to experience this problem in the beginning but over the last 8 months. We (myself and Vet office) are resending claims multiple times because "you claim you're not receiving them." I live outside city limits and this does not make it very easy to make myself available. However, I can assure you all claims are being processed by fax at checkout after each visit.
I can also understand the insurance increase for Milee our boxer, with sensitive stomach and other issues. But to increase Jade too (border collie mix) whom is seen only once a year for routine check ups (healthy dog and has no health issues) Your policy information says your giving us a discount for our 2 pets. I'm not so sure about that either. I believe the insurance increase took place because Milee has health issues and nothing more. But If we drop Jade from the insurance we lose the supposed discount. That sounds a bit off and ridiculous.

I could focus on getting him better, not worrying about how I was going to afford it.
About a month ago, I let Oliver out for one more "potty" in the backyard. About 3 seconds after he bounded out the door I heard the most excruciating yelp I have ever experienced. I ran out to check on him and he was in the corner, trembling and unable to put any weight on his right back leg. I scooped him up and headed to urgent care where about an hour later I was informed that he had torn both his ACL and his Meniscus and would more than likely need surgery. A trip to VCA a few days later confirmed my worst fear. TPLO surgery was scheduled. Never once did I worry about the cost. I knew that Nationwide was there to help. It's now almost 3 weeks post surgery and every day his leg gets stronger and stronger. He is no longer in pain and in a few more months should be back to 100%! I know people who have dogs who have had similar injuries and they have not been able to afford the surgery. I highly recommend Nationwide to them for future needs.

Very Good Company
Very good company. Our Iggy broke a leg in a car accident, they took care of it, then he broke the other leg jumping off the couch. Now the plates the surgeons put in need to come out. It is a long process, taking out a couple screws at a time. Plus he developed infection in on the leg bones. Nationwide has handled it all very well so far. I would recommend them to any pet owner that values their pet.
