Hello, First, I must say that everyone I have spoken with at Nationwide has been amazing, friendly, and very customer service oriented. So the people side is awesome. However, waiting almost a month for reimbursement is way too long. Processing time for reimbursements needs to be improved. I receive personal Flex Spending reimbursements within a week. I'd imagine this should be possible, two weeks top, for this type of reimbursement. I'd encourage you to improve this metric. Thank you!

I never have any problems with claims and the money is usually refunded 10-14 days after submitting the forms. Customer service is always there when I need them.

When our cat was sick, we were told by the vet that all signs point to stomach cancer and that without extremely invasive surgery, he probably only had a month or two left. He was in rough shape when we rescued him from the shelter, so we opted to make sure he spends his last weeks in comfort instead of in surgery. Paying for this visit to the vet really set us back financially. It was a risk to get pet insurance, but after that visit, we were glad we had it. Unfortunately, this case was under review well past four weeks, even though I had submitted all papers from previous vet appointments that I was initially told to submit. When I repeatedly called to inquire, I was told they still needed more information from the vet and that the case was transferred to a different department. After more than two months, and two more phone calls, I was told I needed to submit adoption papers. This was not only ridiculously excessive, but I only learned about this because I took the initiative, making multiple phone calls. I'm convinced that if I hadn't taken action, this case would never have been resolved. Fortunately, our cat has been holding on longer than anticipated, seemingly happy, though he's definitely not the cat he once was. We know every day he's still with us and purring that it won't be long until he lets us know it's time. We hope to let him go peacefully and at home, though we know a vet's services of this sort are pricey. And even though Nationwide claims to cover this, I have a feeling we may not see any kind of money back from this for a long time, and this only adds to our concerns for the near future. I hope to be proven wrong.

Refunds come in reliably a few weeks after service. Service is solid.

Have used the insurance a few times and proved to be very helpful in getting my dog what was necessary with financial relief.

Dear Trupanion, I've been meaning to write again, to express how grateful I am that Trupanion is in our life. I wrote to Trupanion about a year ago, as our dog, Higgins medical condition was stabilizing and it looked like he would survive and be treated successfully for his ITP. And no small thanks to you! Higgins was diagnosed with ITP in January, 2017 and we feel so blessed that here we are, 18 months later, with a reasonably healthy dog who has responded well to cyclosporine and steroid medications, and who has good quality of life, including his ability to continue working as a Therapy dog with mentally ill children in my practice as a psychologist. He is a valued member of our team at the office, and is much loved by patients, their parents, and our staff. As you know, the cost of his routine medications and blood work exceeds $400 per month, and that doesn't include the cost of treating side effects of his medications. Without you - our True Companions in this journey, we would not have been able to afford his treatment for long...and I cant even begin to imagine the impossible decisions we would have had to make. thank you Trupanion for the life of our beloved pet. thank you Trupanion for creating and running a business with competence and integrity. Already do recommend to friends and family because dealing with Trupanion is hassle-free and fast. We are so thankful that we have Trupanion insurance for our little Ruby.

My call experience was great.

I have all 5 of my dogs covered with Nationwide, and, since Nationwide has taken over the former provider, customer service and response time have improved dramatically. Coverage is affordable; it's like all other insurance, it seems expensive until you need it! They pay claims quickly and EOBs are easy to understand. I plan to always have my "fur family" insured with Nationwide.

ASPCA Pet Insurance is the best! When one of my pets died, they were so comforting! Claims for vet appointments etc are paid quick. Thanks ASPCA!
