Our 1 year 5 month old Welsh terrier showed signs of lethargy & poor appetite. After stays at the Emergency & personal vet hospitals, it turns out Radar had swallowed a piece of toy, causing an intestinal obstruction, requiring abdominal surgery to correct. He is now well on his way to recovery. I submitted the invoices to Trupanion & within 24 hrs and less, we had our claims processed. I also called customer service with a few questions & was given prompt & helpful information. The forms are also very simple & easy to fill out. In addition, I had some old invoices for other unrelated vet visits but they were past the 90 day submission requirement so I had not submitted them. Turns out, Trupanion has dropped the 90 day limit for claims & I was able to get those processed as well. We could not be more pleased with the service, coverage & excellent efforts by the Trupanion staff. Thank you!

When I applied for pet insurance, my doggie was very healthy.I just thought if I have insurance for me, why not for her. Thank goodness! She had a mysterious swelling that could not be identified without testing. She was treated by wonderful Vet and is her old playful self again. My claim was processed and paid very professionally.

Embrace is great. There are no secrets, everything is straightforward, timeframe for expected service is fair, and above all, they don't treat me like I'm stupid for having questions. I've called three times (Spay, Genital Smeats, Digestive indiscretion) now and every time they were able to explain to me everything I needed to know. Embrace will be my insurance carrier for my current puppy and any other eligible pet moving forward.

After a couple of trips to the vet cost us a few thousand dollars, my wife and I invested in a Trupanion policy. While we hoped we would never have to file a claim, we wanted to know that in the event that an unexpected emergency occurred, we would have financial support for the vet costs. Unfortunately one of our cats was stricken with acute leukemia. After two weeks of tests and blood transfusions, the only course of treatment left was to put our beloved Cleo to sleep. The loss of one of our pets was very difficult, but thankfully we had Trupanion and the vet bills did not add to the grief.

I have been satisfied with this insurance for my three beagles who are 11, 11 and 8. The plan has definitely saved me some money. They are good about following up with phone calls to see how your pet is doing. My only complaint is that , when one of my beagles had to see an eye specialist (the only one in our town), Pet insurance still reimbursed based on the average cost in towns similar to mine across the states. I understand when they do that for regular vet procedures, but I had no choice but to use the only ophthalmologist in town. This should have been take into consideration by Pet insurance. When one has only one option, the full amount should be paid for that option. It doesn't happen often but when it does it only seems fair that Pet insurance pay for all of it. All in all, it's a good company.

Trupanion has been extremely helpful throughout this entire process. Every time I've called, each representative I've spoken to has been efficient and quick to respond to all my requests.
