I just really dislike that examination fees are not covered even for a covered treatment. I work in insurance and I feel that is wrong.
I also have seen an almost 100 percent increase in fees in the 7 years of my puppy's life.

I have given up on filing appeals unless a gregiois error bc it is exhausting and time intensive. The technicians should be able to do it correctly initially. When I do file an appeal, have had success in covering what should be covered each time. The sad part is that it wastes the time of the veterinarian who should focus on Client care not insurance problems as well as my time is wasted.
However the technicians reviewing claims can¡¦t seem to problem-solve ¡§unusual episodes ¡§ of an illness / accident that results in veterinarian care and treatment. The staff at Trupanion cannot seem to understand that although a treatment may be preventive at times , it could also be used as ¡§medicine¡¨ to help an illness/ accident. There is often too much black and white thinking while reviewing claims. This leads to frustration.
Also, there has been an increase each year we¡¦ve been in the plan. It was explained because of costs of care in my area. However, my particular veterinarians prices were less or status quo from previous years. I also shop conservatively bc of then need to manage costs for Trupanion.
Subsequently, I may mention Trupanion and unsure if I would give a glowing recommendation.

Yet, once again my premium was bumped up. This is leading me to consider going back to the traditional method of savings for veterinarian care as in the past.
The dog prescription food is an irritation because it is used as a medical recommendation similar to medicine in pill forms and is limited to a few episodes.
