Basically because it's useful only incase of emergencies or disease. Chances are slim it will ever be used if you are an attentive owner. Very handy for puppies but im thinking preventative care for older dogs may be more important.

The absolute best insurance and service we have ever had. We recommend you to everyone!
Your insurance has provided us piece of mind for all decisions we have had to made recently due to our dog's diagnosis with cancer. Because we don't have to worry about enormous medical bills, it has made decisions much easier to make and extended the life of our dog! Would never have a pet again without insurance.

Trupanion, best decision ever!
I so appreciate how quickly and effortlessly my claims are processed and I am reimbursed. Unfortunately I have submitted many claims on my two boys and I am always impressed with how quickly and thoroughly they are processed.
