IF you don't have pet insurance yet, this is the company that will make you happy you chose them
I have had my two canine fur babies, a Newfoundland and a Pyrenees mix, both rescues, with Healthy Paws for about five years and I trust this company completely. Not once have I felt frustrated or that a claim wasn't handled properly. They cover exactly what they say they will and process claims quickly and without a fuss. They even make it easy to file a claim online. This particular aspect becomes valuable when you're feeling very sad after finding out about a serious diagnosis and paying a very large vet bill. We paid $6,000 for specialist vets and lots of testing, and were elated to find out how much they covered! Checks were mailed by Healthy Paws within two weeks. If you call in, you will be very impressed with how incredibly compassionate and helpful their customer service staff members are as well. They're obviously pet owners! If you don't have any pet insurance, this is the company to sign up with as soon as you bring your pet home.

As Compared With Other Pet Insura...
As compared with other pet insurance companies, I feel your company's 80% refund is certainly not the more enticing 90% refund which I found with other companies. However, your service has been positive and I have chosen to remain with Pets Best...even though you are pricey.

Embrace is prompt and fair.
When trying to discover the source of Henry’s discomfort, I went to several different specialistsand had many diagnostics done. I communicated with Embrace about Henry’s conundrum and felt they listened to my concerns that there was no definitive diagnosis. They covered all the tests. Thank you.

Rep was great
The rep I spoke to was great. I am disappointed that I cannot add on the holistic option without my pets being covered for their current conditions. I would understand if this option was offered to me however I have never seen an email offering this option or received a call advising this option has been added. I would have absolutely added this option if offered earlier.

Very polite
All the Reps I have spoken to have been very polite, informative, patient and were able to explain all of my questions, without an attitude immediately. Each of them were friendly and very helpful to me in understanding exactly what I was questioning. You should absolutely be very proud of the Reps you have hired. I have spoken to 4 different Reps in the last week and each of them had great personalities, were very helpful and extremely polite. You are lucky to have such a great group of Reps. I am not one to give 10 or top of the chart because I feel we all can do better but these employees were absolutely top notch and represent Trupanion very well. It is a pleasure doing business with such informative, smart and polite personalities. Not like the usual robots I speak to from other Companies. I hope you pay your Reps for the great work they do for you. It's a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you again for having such intelligent, polite Reps with great personalities to boot. Great product for the money
We chose Nationwide Pet Insurance over the other companies due to it's great value and volume of coverage. The many different plans you can choose from make it affordable to all.

Buyer Beware
I was told the fact that my dog had a routine fecal smear at the time of his very first puppy exam meant that "soft stool" was a preexisting condition (his results at the time were normal, and the visit was a wellness exam). He was diagnosed with a food allergy a month after the cooling off period, but a claims adjuster emailed me to tell me that his soft stool was now a preexisting condition. I was informed of an appeals process, but it left a bad taste in my mouth that even a routine wellness exam can be twisted to avoid providing coverage that I am paying for. Avoid this company.

Nothing but good things to say!
We have had our dog, Wynslow, insured with Healthy Paws since he was a puppy. We couldn't be happier and more satisfied with the service we have received from Healthy Paws. Unfortunately Wynslow has had a couple of significant health events that required specialized medical care. Even if we did not have insurance, we would have sought out the best care possible for Wynslow. But having insurance was a source of comfort as we made our decisions on Wynslow's care. The cost of the care was significant but its impact on our family budget was very much muted by the reimbursements from Healthy Paws. Dealing with Healthy Paws couldn't be easier - we submit our bills/receipts to Healthy Paws and very promptly we are reimbursed the vast majority of our expenses. We have never had an issue with coverage; Healthy Paws coverage is very comprehensive, including prescription medications. It's also nice to get periodic emails from Healthy Paws checking up on Wynslow's wellness. It makes us realize that they keep an eye on their clients. Last thing, the monthly premiums are very reasonable. I can think of nothing negative with our interactions with Healthy Paws. It has been one of the best decisions we made regarding providing a safe and healthy home for Wynslow!

Great service
My chihuahua was bitten on the foot by a much larger dog. Within days of submitting my claim, I had a check for the vet’s emergency services. Subsequently, she developed an infection in the joint. That claim was also paid promptly.
