We chose Healthy Paws to insure our Australian Labradoodle based on customer ratings and we are so glad we did! The response time and quick claim processing have been outstanding. We've had previous experiences with other pet policies that were disappointing, but Healthy Paws has lived up to its advertising and promise completely. We enthusiastically recommend this company as a partner in pet healthcare!

11/17/14 was terrifying. Khan, our 3 year old BT, started vomiting around 8 pm and continued throughout the night- over 30 times. We took him to the vet the next morning, where he was in borderline shock. Over the course of his 3 day stay, he was diagnosed with severe pancreatitis, which was caused by a blockage in his stomach and intestines, which turned out to be carpet. We had 2 options: Emergency surgery, or putting our baby down. Thanks to Healthy Paws and their fantastic coverage (90%), we were able to opt for surgery. The total bill was $3973. We had made a prior claim, so our paperwork was processed and reimbursement of about $3500 was approved and mailed in less than 24 hours. On top of their fantastic customer service, they also emailed me today to see how he was doing. It's a wonderful feeling to know your dog is in good hands, and we will never insure Khan with anyone but Healthy Paws.

We decided to get pet insurance when we adopted our puppy last year. After researching, Healthy Paws was the best option for us. I was hoping that we would never need to use it but..... our pug swallowed a paperclip (among other things) and needed surgery. We were very impressed with how efficient the process was regarding the claim and pleased with the coverage. I recommend Healthy Paws to everyone.

I am a new customer of Healthy Paws. While researching many pet insurance companies, I went with Healthy Paws because of their no lifetime cap, no predetermined amount for services (you’re reimbursed based on actual costs), flexibility with using my own vet and pharmacy and their positive reviews. I have been extremely pleased thus far. I signed all 4 dogs up, ranging in age from 8 years to 8 months, and have had to submit several claims so far. The claim process couldn't be any easier; upload the invoice and medical record to their website. It took less than a week to process the claim and less than a week to receive my reimbursement checks. I wish there was a rating higher than 10; can't recommend this company enough.

I researched the heck out of pet insurance companies. Made the decision to go with Healthy Paws due to their outstanding reviews. And I am so glad I did. Our Honey Girl has been so well taken care of I still can't believe it. She needed TWO root canals and crowns this year. We've only been with HP for about a year prior. If our little girl didn't have this dental work she would have lost her two primary canine teeth. We certainly couldn't afford the $6K bill - but Healthy Paws covered 80% THAT'S AMAZING. We also learned a lot in this process. Please be warned that bully sticks and hard chew tows were to blame. We're now advocates of preventitive care and brush her teeth every day - yes we really are doing this. She's also on a water all natural additive to prevent tooth decay. Our out of pocket on these items was 100% (about $100 a year for special tooth paste and the healthy mouth wash) but considering the coverage with Healthy Paws we received for her surgery and caps, we owed it to our dog, our selves and our insurance company. Healthy Paws sent us concerned and supportive emails checking in on Honey Girl and their follow up is amazing. I wish they were our health care company, I get better service from them than from Blue Cross Blue Shield. I highly recommend Healthy Paws!!!! Great team, superb coverage and wonderful peace of mind. I purchased pet insurance from Trupanion when my German Shepherd was 3 months old. When Levi was about 8 months old, he tore ligaments in both front legs while chasing larger dogs at the dog park. Trupanion paid out $7000 almost immediately. I have had to purchase several allergy meds recently and the claims are often paid the same day I filed the claim. A great company.

It took over 5 weeks to get my illness claims settled and that was after contacting Embrace more than two times and they "supposedly" expidited the claims both times. I also do not like that they no longer offer the Explanation of Benefits letting you know what was covered and "why" they did not cover something else. The way they do it now we are at their mercy to "take what they give us" as the amount we are supposed to be paid. I wish they would go back to the way they used to process claims which was faster and more accurate than this "new quicker" claim processing which it is not.

We have our 3 dogs insured with Healthy Paws. Their service is absolutely FANTASTIC!! We have seen claims processed in 1 DAY!! They always follow up with an email a few days after the claim asking how our pets are doing. Anyone who has insurance with another company needs to check Healthy Paws out. You will save so much more on vet costs. They calculate the claim using the actual vet charge. Other insurance companies calculate the claim on what they think you should have been charged for the procedure. We are 101% SATISFIED!!!

I've had to make the decision of continuing my pet's medical treatment to save his life verses the cost. He fortunately recovered. After that, I decided I never wanted to be in that situation again. Now all my Pugs are covered with Healthy Paws. Including my recent girl who was a rescue, Georgie. I've already been able to give Georgie life altering care because of insurance. And in turn Georgie is doing good for kids as a Pet Therapy Dog. It's just me and my Pugs. They are family so why not insure them?
