Exceeded my expectations by far.
Rosie is our first pet and I had no idea pet insurance even existed. I became aware through my corporate benefits package and signed up. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first start submitting claims but I was quickly amazed. The process was extremely quick and easy. Everything was being covered and the payments were made way ahead of the expectations set during submission. I have already recommended Nationwide pet insurance to multiple pet owners.

Best investment ever!
It has been a true blessing knowing that I can do whatever is needed to take care of our fur baby and we don’t have to break the bank. Before, it would have been difficult to decide between vet bills and our bills! Bear is family to us and we all have insurance so why wouldn’t we have it for her!!

Outstanding hospitality & professionalism
Shay was so kind and knowledgeable of the hospitals that I've had to take Roux to. I felt no rush when asking questions. Being in the hospitality industry I understand the importance of truly listening and having helpful responses which I got from Shay. Thank you Figo!

Very helpful on the vetline
The vetline staff member was great giving me ideas for less expensive over the counter supplement. I found what I needed at half the price!

I bought it for an emergency.
I bought it for an emergency. I'm poor and can't afford a bill upfront and then waiting to be reimbursed. So, the 24 hour hospital near me does NOT take direct pay. I called trupanion to find out where was one that took direct pay and was open at midnight. The girl on the phone was giving me names and locations of places that were just regular vets. She said her computer didn't show her which were the 24 hour emergency hospitals!!!! Come on! That's crazy. Then ... with ME doing the searching FOR HER, I found the ONE, yes, that's right, ONE location in ALL of Austin, Texas that was open 24 hours. Rediculous....if I have an emergency I need to get him help ASAP. The ONE is over 20 miles away from me. My dog could be DEAD before I got him there. I'm seriously considering dropping his insurance because of this. Trupanion is basically worthless to me.

Was not pleased
My claim took a month to be processed. I have a dog that I got from a rescue and Figo decided that for this recent claim they needed vet records from before I got the dog. This took weeks. In the meantime while waiting on that vet to send the records, Figo closed/put the claim on hold and I had to keep texting and calling in order to find out the status and push Figo to continue to reach out to the vet for the records. The claim was then denied for the medication that was prescribed due to a pre-existing condition. This was not accurate however because although the medication was previously prescribed, this time it was for a completely different issue! Also, Figo has covered this medication for him before, so I didn't understand why there was a different result this time. I texted Figo once again and asked them why he wasn't covered for the medication due to this issue that he's only had since we started his policy. They said they would reach out and investigate why the claim was denied. They got back to me today and it was determined that the mediation is covered since it was prescribed for a new issue and not a pre-existing condition. If i had not continuously contacted Figo to repeatedly reach out to the vet and then contacted them again regarding my claim denial, my claim would probably still be closed without the correct action being taken.
