Quick Claim Turn Around
The claim reimbursements have gotten quicker - from 4 weeks to 2 weeks average processing time. I am glad to have Nationwide by our side. We have peace of mind knowing that we are covered when our little "girl" gets sick or injured. We will never have to make a life or death decision based solely upon money. Thank you Nationwide!

Reliable Pet insurance when you need it...
Having had a pet insurance policy for many years with this company, I am very happy with their coverage. The time for claims to be processed is quick and they are very easy to submit. Be sure to read the exclusions for the particular policy you may purchase.

Extremely slow process claims-almost criminal--but still taking my monthly payment. Literally took from March 18 to May 19.
My experience has been horrendous. I've had 6 letters saying my claim was in review, made 4 phone calls., had a call from a disrespectful investigator (Feb)--then suddenly in June received word that my claim was denied and a new claim would also be denied--because my dog had a pre-existing condition due to the first denial. All the time, paying on time automatically. Then suddenly getting these chase payments for smaller claims. Filed original claim for Athena in March 2018--heard in Feb 2019 from investigator--then denied May 2019--got notice of pre-existing condition. As a customer you are at the mercy of this company and its a shame that the communications process is truly broken. Very disappointed about the whole situation--but I still have claims I need paid--so I'm stuck. I've told everyone I know.

Great customer service
Great customer service and efficient claims management for my best buddy, /chewie, a golden retriever; who had surgery to remove and biopsy a tumor. Reimbursement was excellent per the contract. Thanks!
