ASPCA Pet Insurance ensures that I have the financial means to provide all of the essential veterinary care needed by my Cocker Spaniel. My pet has had numerous medical issues over the years, including treatment for colitis, the removal of a fatty tumor, and monthly shots for arthritis. ASPCA Pet Insurance has always provided prompt reimbursement at the contracted rate. Their customer service is exemplary, always caring and supportive.

Amazing customer service.
Submitted my wellness claim on 11/10/15, and the reimbursement check was in my account on 11/16/15. The customer service at Embrace cannot be beat. :)

not satisfied
We paid our premium for one year before needing to file a claim. When we did file a claim after the first year, first: we mailed our claim form via regualar mail. I didn't hear back, and after 2 weeks I called them. They told me that by regular mail, they may not get my claim for 3 weeks and I should have faxed my claim. (the claim form did not state this). Meanwhile, since it had been a year, they raised our premium by $2.00 a month. We still didn't hear back about our claim and called them again - since we had moved to another county, they informed us that our rate had been raised another $2.00 a month. They also informed us that they have a 30-day period to receive claims and they still had not received my claim so we should re-submit it, which we did, by fax. Then we got an email stating they needed the vet's note from that visit so we faxed those to them. Then they still did not process our claim. Meanwhile we had 2 more vet visits that we filed claims for, by fax. They kept sending us emails saying they needed more information - we kept trying to comply, but they kept sending us emails saying the time had passed and we would need to re-submit our claims. We finally faxed everything we had in our possession about our dog and they still were not processing our 3 claims. We finally gave up and cancelled our insurance with them.

Won't consider any other pet insurance
Embrace is the only one we would recommend or ever use. The staff is always willing to go the extra mile and always checking post service on our pets and their welfare as a whole. In a very difficult time of pet accident or illness to be able to make the owner feel that someone cares and actually has their back other than their veterinarian clinician is a major point.
Without Embrace some terrible alternate decisions might have to be made by loving pet owners when treatments go beyond their savings' abilities.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PET INSURANCE
I don't often write "fan" letters, especially for insurance companies:). However, Healthy Paws is terrific! I got way behind filing claims due to a rough year with my husband's serious illness. Healthy Paws not only processed everything I sent in late (with no hassle), I even got kind notes hoping everything was going better for us. Healthy Paws covers our rescue Golden Retriever, Brady, who had a rough beginning before coming to us and we've had to deal with some health issues that developed after we got him. When we rescued him two years ago, we went with another insurance company who hassled us about everything! It was a ridiculous nightmare. We cancelled and switched to Healthy Paws. Best decision we could have made. We even convinced our son to use Healthy Paws when he got his new pup. All of our dogs have been rescues and that can mean issues but we're confident we now have the best protection and customer service we can get with Healthy Paws. We would highly recommend them; in fact, we already have recommended them to our friends and family.

Stick with out of pocket
Sure, you could pay $1400-$1500 a year for coverage, but after considering that a very (very) minor portion of your claim will actually be reimbursed, you are far better off just paying out of pocket and moving on.
If the vet determines your pet may have a skin allergy, that will be tossed in the "pre-existing" category and tossed out. At no point has there ever been "100%" despite paying for it.

Best Pet Insurance Carrier
I have tried all the carriers including VPI, Pet Plan, Pet's Best and then finally I found the BEST in ASPCA Pet Insurance. All of the others covered very little but had consistently high premiums for my now almost 13 year old Purebred Yorkshire Terrier. I have their Level 4 with Adv Wellness protection that I started when he as about to turn 10. One incredible aspect is that they will insure dogs over 10 years old out of the gate. I am so grateful I changed insurers and would never leave ASPCA. Sammy got pancreatitis in February from eating cheap store bought Beneful. I had just gotten out of the hospital myself and he was throwing up everything he ate. I was so scared that I would lose him. I am in a wheelchair and he has been with me since an accident in 2002. He was hospitalized for 2.5 days. Since I am also a Care Credit Card Holder I did not have to worry about making a financial decision to take care of him. No matter the cost. He was well in about 2 weeks and now I make all of his food myself. He is happy, healthy and when I received the reimbursement for his $3500 bill I was ecstatic. ASPCA paid 90% of the charges. I love my ASPCA insurance and my Care Credit Card!! I highly recommend you ignore the rest and check out ASPCA esp if you have an older animal. The customer service is superb, premium options are flexible and claim reimbursement is fast.

good insurance
I have had pet insurance with ither companies. My oldest dog is on VIP insurance. When I got a dog from the shelter he came with the option of Embrace Insurance. I have found it to be better coverage and easier to understand than the other companies out there. I have recently had to use the insurance since one of my dogs has cancer, and have been pleased with the coverage. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for.

ASPCA insurance
I am glad that I have the insurance on my dogs, it does help when the time comes. Living with dogs, I am sure all dogs owners know that, there could be dog fights, snake bite, illness... Having insurance helps ease our minds. I won't do it without insurance. Most of all, portion of it goes to helo ASPCA. The only thing I hope was that it is not that expensive. :)
