Easy filing and coverage great

This is my second pet, my first experience with insurance didn't go well. Pets best has been great, it has been simple, informative and quick (the whole process took about a week) I am very pleased.

I was so thankful for my Nationwide pet insurance coverage during one of my cat's recent dental procedures to address the effects of dental disease and tooth extraction. Anytime our pets have medical issues, financial coverage is the last thing you want to think about. I've been a Nationwide pet insurance customer for nearly 6 years and never had to file a larger claim. The filing process was quick, easy, and the benefits covered nearly all of the procedure costs. I was so relieved to be able to focus on my kitty's healing and recovery and appreciated the follow up note from Nationwide to check on her medical status a few weeks after the procedure.

I am happy that we finally got out claim paid, but it took about 6 months. Why???? We pay our premium every month, we provided al of the info you needed in a timely manner and yet we had to wait 6 months. I would expect better from a well known company like Nationwide. We have another claim in now for our other dog. I certainly hope it won't take as long or we will consider taking our business to anther insurance company. Thanks for listening.

I have had VPI/Nationwide since Maddie was 4 months old. It has been fair and honest with us, but as she now is 8.7 years old the insurance is getting quite high, per year. I would not drop it totally but may make some changes to the coverage in order to keep it.

E-mails are sent providing updates on the status of a claim so there is no need to login to the website. ASPCA clearly outlines specifics if they require more information for processing the claim. Turnaround for processing is usually 7 to 10 days. Claim payments are made by check or direct deposit. Customer Service is exceptional and includes a follow-up call to check on the well-being of your pet.
