Healthy Paws is THE BEST

Healthy Paws is the best insurance. We insured our puppy because she was a rescue and I wasn't sure if she came with any health problems. Luckily, she didn't, but she had a freak tendon injury that resulted in an unexpected surgery. Healthy Paws covered 80% of everything, and even sent us an email to follow up to see how she was doing. It is super easy to submit claims, and the turnaround time for reimbursement is very short. I've never had to haggle with them; and everything that they said was covered has been covered exactly as explained. I was on the fence about pet insurance, but Healthy Paws is truly a fantastic company and a great pet insurance policy.

Glad we had insurance!

Our dog Jem recently needed spine surgery and insurance covered a good chunk of the cost! They even covered the cost of the MRI. Without the surgery Jem would have been paralyzed. She is doing much better now and is walking normal again. Thank you Nationwide!

Good policy—provides good service and great peace of mind.

My dog was attacked by some wild animal. I submitted three claims in all, and after the annual deductible, all costs were paid. I wish I could have submitted my claim by email, but my scans of the vet bills didn't go through, so I had to mail them. That slowed down the payment but I liked being able to check on the website to see the status of the claim

Nationwide Pet coverage to the rescue!

Hannah had an allergy flair up that progressed to a skin infection. She was miserable and ended up at the vet MULTIPLE times during the holidays. The bills stacked up and the allergy med was very expensive. Add repeated office appointments, ear meds and skin sprays all un expected expenses during a time of year where budgets are already stretched--it was a situation that easily could have played Grinch to our Christmas spending. Thankfully, Nationwide allowed QUICK email form submission and prompt reimbursements. I was able to easily manage the care Hannah needed at our regular vet and not worry about the expense being a hardship for the family.

The biggest help!!! Thank you!!!

Such a big help when you’re a single pet parent. 😊 expenses can get crazy sometimes and before I found this insurance I was paying everything out of pocket. Sometimes in an emergency you don’t always have that money on hand. So now I don’t have to worry so much.

Worth the money

I was grateful to learn that part of the treatment for Irish's second hot spot was covered. He was miserable at first, and I was worried about the bills. Given this past year was rough financially, I considered dropping the insurance but decided not to. Then, when Irish needed care, having a portion of it reimbursed made me feel that keeping pet insurance was a good idea.

Great insurance!

This is the best pet insurance available - better than some human health insurance policies! They pay promptly and the representatives are always receptive and helpful. Your problem is usually solved within minutes. Highly recommend this company!

Current issue with denied claim and it’s an issue your office created regarding original documents submitted by mail.

A recent claim was partially denied because you can’t see details you need on the submitted paperwork. I need to find the time now to send scans and explanation which is very annoying since you have the originals and only need to flip the small register receipt up to read the details you need. I called and was told the scan that you had was not readable! You have the originals!!! I scanned them for my own records before mailing them to you. They are crystal clear. I think your office must scan mailed paperwork for internal purposes and process them based on those internal scans. You must have scanned the docs with the register receipt blocking the details. It is frustrating because I know my policy covers all of the claim. I have to phone again, send the scans I have of the originals that you have and this is silly. I would really appreciate a call from you and a solution that does not involve so much of my time.
