Premiums too high, fee schedule hurts when you have an older dog.
Customer service is good. Claims can be slow. Statements are understandable but disappointing as fee schedule has resulted in enormous out of pocket costs for me after reimbursement.

Love the concept of pet insurance but often claims are denied
Pet insurance is a great concept but not inexpensive for the amount of coverage.

Prompt and efficient customer service
Have 2 Golden Retrievers insured with Healthy Paws for more than 5 years. Theirs premium are quite a bit less than other companies we have researched. Multiple claims have been handled promptly and mostly without question. Claims process is very convenient and easy. Direct deposit of payments helps speed up the process.
Recently one of our dogs required major orthopedic surgery. Over $11,000 and Healthy Paws was there for us. That kind of peace of mind is why we have pet insurance.

Peace of mind
I have 2 young labs to avoid having any astronomical household bills I decided to buy insurance to be prepared just in casa anything happened. Best decision of my life. My 7 year old lab had to have BILATERAL TPLO surgery and having to pay 20% of it was a huge relief on our family budget. Their customer service and response to reimburse the money was professional, prompt and satisfactory.
