All my questions were answered very clearly and politely. I was offered extra help which is always nice. Everyone was super courteous and helpful getting me to who and what I needed! Very impressed with the customer service, makes me feel more comfortable paying for insurance that I have the potential to never need. This experience made me feel like they will be helpful in the future with any concerns or claims.

Easy to comprehend what the coverage entails

Excellent customer service, quick claims processing and no questions asked! Everything was done on the back end as far as getting our vet records and didn¡¦t require any extra work from us. Claim was paid out to our bank account the day after it was approved. Very pleased and very thankful we had pet insurance.

I was reluctant to get pet insurance but realized my dog is only getting older and will not put a price on my dog’s life. I had little money for premiums so I setup what I would call a ‘catastrophic’ policy- with a $1,000 deductible and 20% copay. And hoped I wouldn’t have insurance hassles. A year later my 14 yr old dog started limping and progressively not walking. It was difficult to go through the progressive diagnostics to get to the proper diagnosis and that was well over a month. Just when a diagnosis and recommended treatment are finally achieved a pandemic hits. There are few AAHA Hospitals with the expertise and technology available for an MRI and hemilaminectomy to begin with. And now many were closed due to COVID-19. It was a struggle to find one, find one open and as we all know you can’t immediately get Veterinary care. Ultimately I drove to another state. Despite all this Embrace proved they weren’t a hassle or haggle. And that was a lifeline during a very difficult time. My claims greatly exceeded my premiums and when it was time for renewal I thought they would drop me. That didn’t happen.

After searching through reviews, and pros and cons for several pet insurance options, we landed on Pets Best. Our kids had been begging for a pup for years and it was the only thing on the Christmas list complete with dog food, a dog bowl and a pooper scooper. We found ourselves at a cross way and (reluctantly) gave in. I’m typically not one that purchases additional services if there’s a chance they won’t likely be needed but I’ve heard too many stores of puppies needing surgeries for eating something they shouldn’t, so we intended to keep the insurance for one year. Everything was great until we took her in to be spayed, she came out like a different pup. She wouldn’t sit on her rear, didn’t have much energy, each day that went by was getting worse. We finally switched Drs and found out she was in kidney failure and wasn’t sure she was going to make it. The local vet tried to do 24/7 fluids to force her kidneys to flush the toxins but she barrel rolled and pulled out her IVs. Since they weren’t staffed 24/7 and not able to trust her, I drove her 2.5 hours to the nearest emergency vet clinic. There she was diagnosed with Renal Dysplasia, we were told to put her on expensive food and she would need to have fluids frequently... as well as the fact that she will likely have a much much shorter life. Pets Best had been phenomenal in reimbursing every single claim I’ve put through, in the past six months since being diagnosed we’re close to or have exceeded five thousand in claims. They have reimbursed for every single one. They would have even paid for a kidney transplant (pre-approved), however that wasn’t an option in our case. I truly can’t say enough good things about Pets Best.

I haven't had to use the policy yet but I had to raise all my pets deductibles to the max just to be able to semi afford it. I live on my veteran's disability benefits and social security. One of the pets covered is my service dog and while I did get a discount for him it still wasn't much. I like Trupanion and everything but I'm gonna start looking at other carriers to see if I can get a better rate.
