I am very thankful that I chose Trupanion when I got Tara 9 years ago. About 3 years ago she started with liver failure and was rushed to an Urgent 24 Hour Care Vet where she was admitted into isolation and intensive care. I almost lost her and if it hadn't been for the insurance it would have been extremely difficult to pay for her care.

Caring and helpful

I started researching pet insurance companies after my dog had her front leg amputated. Pet's Best was friendly and answered all my questions about the different types of policies and they didn't need any prior records to sign my dog up. When I had to submit a few claims they were professional and helped me through the process. All claim refunds came back to me as direct deposit, which is so convenient. I would definitely recommend Pet's Best to all my friends and family.

I am writing this review to state how utterly disgusted I am with your "service". I have had a few issues with our cats, and it seems like I fulfill my end of the bargain by paying over $100 a month to YOU for your garbage coverage! I just submitted a claim for close to $500 for an eye issue (one that has happened in the past mind you) and you covered a whopping $81. That's right, I pay to YOU over $100 per month in the event something happens with my cats and you pay out roughly 10% of the costs. To me, that is outright fraud. But then again, that's how insurance companies operate, right? You simply take out of the economy without giving anything in return. You, and your industry as a whole, are parasitic. You suck the life force out of the economy. You should be so proud of yourselves. You're doing god's work! What a joke. I would NEVER recommend your company to ANYONE I know.

I submitted my claim and received a notification that the claim was "Not Covered" with no explanation. I called Trupanion only to find out that they couldn't clearly read the vet bills I had submitted. I would think they would have sent me a notification with an explanation and instructions to resubmit my claim. The rep on the phone was helpful and gave me instructions, etc.

Signing up for Healthy Paws Insurance was the best thing we could have done when adopting our puppy. They customer service has been outstanding. They process claims quickly and even followed up after my dogs recent surgery to see how she was doing. I Highly recommend Healthy Paws.
