I initiated the claim online and got a confirmation email saying the info was received, however after not getting any update or status update on my account page I called in and was told I had to submit it again.

Overall simple claims process. I'd like to be able to email you a PDF of the form rather than fax, though.

The reimbursement was fair and it was an easy process. The approval just took too long.

Our 9 year old Newfoundland was suddenly diagnosed with a belly full of blood from a ruptured spleen due to an undetected tumor. Despite the >80% chance that this was a malignant cancer, we took her to the local veterinary surgeon who took out her spleen that night. Now a month later, she is back to her spunky self and even better, the pathology was read as benign. Having pet insurance allowed us to do what was best for our canine family member and not worry about the cost. I have had nationwide for 18 years (previously VPI). When I have major issues, it is very reassuring to know that they will cover some of the costs.
