Our puppy pounced on a pair of garden shears and needed stitches on his mouth/muzzle. Claim process was easy, payment made promptly, and the whole event (well except for trying to keep a cone on a 10 week old puppy) was as smooth as we could have asked. We won’t be taking advantage of the vanishing deductible, but so glad this rambunctious pup had insurance.

I have had golden retrievers since 1985. I never pursued getting insurance because in general they were usually pretty healthy until their later years. On New Year's Day, my 2/12 year old chiweenie woke up, unable to use his hind legs. It turned out he herniated a disc and needed emergency spinal surgery. When Cooper my Bernese Mountain Dog got sick, the vet ran lots of tests to determine the reason. Some of the tests were quite spendy. I wasn't sure if my claim was going to be fully covered, but the Lemonade team came through and covered everything except the exam. The claim process was fairly easy and the claim was approved quickly. I'm grateful that the experience turned out to be a positive one!

I haven’t had to submit a claim yet, but it looks pretty easy in the app. Their customer service was great in getting me a discount I was eligible for but could not get it when submitting on my own. They were also helpful at explaining policies when I deciding between different amounts of coverage. Far better price wise than any other pet insurance too. The people at spot insurance were the opposite of helpful, so I’m glad I found met life.
