PetS Best Is A Very Efficient…"
Pets Best is a very efficiently run company. There"s always a "person" to answer the phone and any questions. They are always knowledgeable and courteous. Our Great Pyrenees are 3 years old and very healthy. We are hoping it stays that way and are doing our best to give them a healthy lifestyle. "

Your promote service on a claim
I was so pleased to learn that you have allowed Zeus's services at South Suburban Animal Hospital. Your service is wonderful I do hope that my cousin has called you people got a policy for her cat Molly. In any case I am so happy and glad I have you wonderful people who care about pets. My cat Salem goes in for his annual check up in June. I thank you so much for this and look forward to having your services for years to come. Your compassion and understanding is best of all.

Life Saver (literally)
In a Nutshell:
PROS
Policy - The policy on their website is perfectly clear to me. I think that some of the problems with pet insurance are caused by a lack of transparency and vague wording. The policy is straight-forward and not like the tedious "Terms of Use" stuff that you get whenever you try to use an app on your phone.
Monthly Cost - You can get a free quote on their website so that you know what to expect up front. I've had Healthy Paws for 2 years and I haven't noticed any significant changes to my dog's premiums.
Reimbursement - Annual Deductible (how much you spend in 12 months before insurance starts reimbursing you). This is much better than a Claim Deductible (you have to pay a certain amount for each individual vet visit to get a certain amount reimbursed). The FAQs give clear examples of how the reimbursement is calculated. It's fair and I've never had a disagreement about it.
Enrollment - Easy. No blood draws or x-rays required for approval. I didn't even have all my pets' medical records because the animal shelter didn't have them. There were years missing from their medical record as a result, but I was still approved! It's great that this system doesn't discourage or punish you for adopting an adult. It's hard enough finding a home as it is.
Customer Service - Excellent customer service. I can't recommend them enough and I've always been able to get a quick email response or a person on the phone. I've put more detail and examples in my essay below.
CONS (this will be short):
- Mobile app is glitchy, but I've never had problems submitting claims through email or the website.
- Pre-existing conditions are not covered. This seems like a standard condition across the board for pet insurance, so I don't think that this is something that can be changed.
I will explain my experience with the enrollment process, customer service, reimbursement, etc. towards the end. But first, I want to provide some context.
In September 2016, our dog Iris was diagnosed with lymphoma, one of the most common cancers in dogs. While Iris never made it to remission, we can have some peace of mind that we were able to give her the best fighting chance that medicine could give. Through four months of blood tests and chemotherapy, we had racked up $8,500 and Healthy Paws covered $6,000. While the out-of-pocket costs are still very high, Healthy Paws took care of 75% of the medical costs and lifted a huge burden off our shoulders

Very happy so far!
When we got our puppy we made the decision to get her insurance coverage, including wellness coverage. So while she is young and does not have any major issues (knock on wood!), I just submitted her check-up and the process is super simple, fast, and my claim was reviewed and approved quickly. Anyone I have dealt with is friendly. I happen to prefer electronic communication and even that has seemed very personal and friendly.

So happy I chose Embrace
Like many, I was skeptical of pet insurance. Everything I read online seemed to be negative and complained of low/no payouts, companies looking for any way to deny claims, etc. However, I knew that I wanted to have some safeguard in place in case of a worst case scenario.
I don't remember why I chose Embrace...probably gave me the best quote at the time. I do know that I scoured the fine print in my policy. This is so important to do, so there will be no surprises when you file claims. From everything I read (over and over) there didn't seem to be any reason my claims would not be covered.
And then that worst case scenario I alluded to above happened. My St. Bernard was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in January. It is a very aggressive bone cancer. I was shocked to get the news, as he had been in great health until then, and is only 7 years old. My vet laid out our treatment options. We opted for radiation and chemotherapy.
Embrace has covered 90% of EVERYTHING I have submitted (thousands of dollars). It has been such a great experience. Covering these extremely pricey treatments helps alleviate the stress of my dog going through this. I can't sing Embrace's praises enough. If I hadn't signed up through them when I did, there is no way we would have been able to afford these treatments.

Hands-Down the Best Pet Insurance We've Had
After having other insurance carriers in the past, we switched to Embrace several years ago. Not long after that switch, our sweet boy was taken from us by Leukemia. It was an incredibly traumatic experience for our family, but Embrace was the one thing we didn't have to worry about. Our claims were processed immediately, and we had our reimbursements within a few days. The Embrace staff members we dealt with even sent a handwritten card to us to say how sorry they were for our loss. We've been loyal Embracers ever since. The most recent issue we had with one of our boys required several tests over multiple visits, and - true to form - Embrace handled everything within days. I even received a personal follow-up email from the co-founder and COO making sure we received our payments. Who does that?! ... Well, Embrace does, and we couldn't be happier with their service. Their coverage plans are outstanding, their service is second-to-none, and their prices are competitive. A+

Thankful for the coverage.
This was the first time I filed a claim. My cat Leia had diarrhea and throwing up and then stopped eating. This was going on for 5 days so I took her to the vets to find out why. I almost forgot I had insurance on her so I called them while at the vets. I did not think they were going to cover the tests and medications but they did. I thank you and my cat Leia thanks you.

9 yr old bichon had bladder stone surgery
I've had Embrace for a couple years and found them very prompt in reviewing claims. This one was no different. They are timely and provide detailed explanation when approving or denying claims.
