We love our Sweetie and we are so happy we purchased pet insurance so there is never any question about going to the vet or treatment that is required.

So far we have been very happy with the coverage that our policy provides. My only complaint is that it takes a long time from the time a claim is received to when we receive payment. Other than that, the coverage has been a great thing for both routine care costs as well as when the unexpected, larger health issue needs to be treated.

Submitting my claims have been a seamless experience using the app and I have always had clear EOBs explaining my reimbursement.

After having a dog that needed expensive healthcare during two periods in her life, it is wonderful to know that should it happen our cure little girl, some of the financial stress is alleviated.

Our 6 month old puppy managed to get his paws on a barbecue basting brush and unfortunately the head of said brush came off and got swallowed, which would be okay if our pet were a shark but not so good for a puppy. The brush managed to block him up and needed to be surgically removed. Not something you want to really go through, given the stress and expense of it all. However after everything settled down and made the claim, Nationwide processed it in short order and paid out everything according to our plan. No stress, no arguments - just worked the way it should have!

Easy to file claims and the policy is straightforward

Very nice and personable. I just have issues with all of Trupanions reasons to knock off parts of bills to reimburse.
