Excellent experience with Embrace!
I have has Embrace Pet insurance for my cat for two years and both times I have used the wellness benefit the claim process has been easy, quick and painless. Thank goodness for this insurance and that I had the good sense to get it when Pittsburgh was a puppy! His knee surgery cost over $3200.00 and Embrace covered 80%. (He will be facing surgery on his other knee after the rehab from this one. Being on a fixed income, we probably could not have afforded such a huge bill, and he would have suffered because of it. The peace of mind this insurance gives us is immeasurable. Thank you.

Horrible
Folks should pay close attention to what the company will pay per incident and compare that amount to monthly premiums. This isn't much of an issue when your pet is young and healthy. However, when your pet is older and premiums rise you will likely find that the amount you pay in premiums is much greater than the amount the company is willing to reimburse. For example, my dog is almost 13 years old and was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure because of a heart murmur. My insurance is currently $95 per month and VPI is only willing to pay $294 total for this type of illness.

Our Wellness Claim Processed In Five Days
Our wellness claim for our healthy 16-month old "dood" was processed in five days (including the weekend). We were kept informed of the claim status by email messages (when the claim was received and when it was processed for payment). A detailed Explanation of Benefits (EOB) was provided for my records along with a friendly message from the staff letting me know that I would receive a check within 10 days. Our claim was submitted only one day after our contract renewal, but there was no delay in processing our claim. We appreciate the quick processing of our claim and the details that are provided on the EOB.
