Trupanion has been amazing during my dog's illness. It has been very easy to submit invoices/claims online and the turnaround for payment is seamless and quick. The online chat service for customer care has also been easy and the reps I've "spoken" with have always been very helpful.

This is the second dog That I have had covered by Nationwide. They always respond quickly to the claims and were supportive after the death of my first pup.

My 3YO lab recently became very ill. It took a few visits to determine what was wrong and, full recovery took several weeks and multiple visits and re-tests. Needless to say, the cost was pretty high. I made sure to submit my claim in a very organized manner, with all invoices and tests and a detailed explanation of the diagnosis as explained to me by my vet. This was my first time filing a claim for an illness so I didn't really know what to expect as far as how easily my claim would be processed or what would be reimbursed. I was pleasantly surprised on both counts. I got back more than I hoped to and my claim was paid within 1 week with no questions or requests for further documentation. So happy I have my baby boy covered with Nationwide Pet Insurance!

The new online submission is great and the whole process was fast and easy and clear.

This company gladly took my monthly fees however the very first claim they rejected due to seeing a previous vet visit where my dog threw up. They called it a pre-existing SYMPTOM which isn't described in their policy at all, in fact the vet visits revealed my dog was healthy before I started with this company. Cancelling service is a huge hassle, you can't do it online. I emailed 5-6 times, logged the request through the website and still no response however when the time came they certainly charged me again. Currently on a 45 min hold hoping someone actually works at this company. Apparently they have not figured out how to work from home and use the current COVID situation as an excuse to reduce their staff.

Easy and quickly answered my questions. Problem Solved.
