Read one year policy provision carefully
As an example: If your pet is diagnosed with cancer in the 10th month of the policy then all claims that continue into the renewal are not covered as they are considered a pre-existing condition. I purchased two policies on my two cats from Petshealth over 7 years ago and when cancer set in I had no (0) coverage as they invoked the pre-existing condition provision at renewal. It took us two months to organize the tratment. Once I read the policy and saw the exclusion I cancelled both policies. I hope the ASPCA realizes what they endorsed as they are a fine organization. We also had a dog insured with the same company for 5 years who was diagnosed with cancer. Fortunately his cancer condition was diagnosed at the beginning of the policy year and his treatments where covered up to the $3500 limit with deductions for reasonable and customary. He died before the policy expired. His cremation coverage for a 135 pound German Shepard was under $50. All of these incidents happened before the ASPCA endorsed the current program. Good luck.

A breath of fresh air
I just filed a second claim for my cat and it was taken care of promptly with an easy-to-understand explanation of benefits form. If only my health care insurer's form was as easy to follow! These guys make buying pet insurance a snap - the premiums are reasonable and the service is fabulous.

What a STUPID claims processing policy!!
I've had pet partners for over a year for at least one of my 6 dogs and this one dog sustained a fractured leg after playing with my other dog. Well Pet partners paid for everything to make the diagnosis but when it came time for the repair they denied it! They said that even though my dog has sustained the injury from an accident, because the what the vet repaired the fracture was considered "not covered" and they denied the $1577.00 surgery charge yet paid for the emergency examination and the xrays of her leg! I'm going back to Pet Care USA insurance where I have my other dogs! OVERPRICED TOO!!!

Won't Insure my Dog Because she just turned 9
I'd love to give this company a try, but they do not insure pets over a certain age as they won't insure my healthy just turned 9 year old dog. I think companies should still insure them and charge a higher premium. . . would be more fair than to deny.

Fantastic customer service and coverage
I spent many hours researching pet insurance companies and reading the reviews. I have purebred dogs that are often prone to hereditary conditions and didn't want a policy that wouldn't cover these. Every time I have called or had a question I've received a quick answer and professional service. I've had the founders answer e-mails late at night. Knowing chronic conditions and specialists are covered at good reimbursement rates is also important. I have puppies, a senior dog and a cat covered under my policy. This is a unique company and recommend highly it to everyone.

Excellent, unsurpassed company!
After being disappointed by another Pet Insurance Company that we had used for years, I shopped and found Embrace. The people are wonderful and even answer e-mails on a Saturday! I am thrilled that they pay "customary charges" on a regional basis, and they are good business people, in that their caring shows. I feel good after corresponding with Embrace. My claims have all gone to my deductible so far, but I feel that Embrace is fair and reachable. I have told my Breeder to recommend Embrace and she has done so and I talk to pet owners all the time and recommend Embrace!

Most Excellent & very best choice for pets!
I have been a veterinarian for 21 years. Every veterinarian at some point encounters "economic euthanasia". I believe that pet insurance is the single biggest protective device AGAINST "economic euthanasia".
I had much experience with the first pet insurance company when it was still in the business of protecting pets and pet owners from "economic euthanasia". Then the company decided that the "bottom line" was more important than the "tie that binds" - - in this case the precious family-pet relationship. Suddenly the company relied on "benefit schedules" that bore absolutely no resemblance to the actual costs for various procedures. Instead, our clients were witness to a company that spent lots of time and energy denying any sort of benefit to pets and the people who love them.
Then Dr. Jack Stephens introduced Pets Best Insurance - - as he describes it, "Simply the best for pets". The claims process is exceptionally easy - - we help the client complete the claim form, we fill out the medically relevant information, attach an invoice, and then we actually fax it to Pets Best to ensure the timely filing of claims.
The rest is history-making, because once the deductible is paid, Pets Best takes care of 80% of the remainder. In claim after claim that we have seen after settlement, there it is in black and white - - 80/20... No other pet insurance - - other than Pets Best - - makes sense!

My first claim experience is great
I had just recently filed my first claim with Embrace and it was handled fast and professionally. I received confirmation e-mail, that they received my claim and also received a summary and detail explanation on how the claim was handled. The representative was very friendly and helpful

No problems so far
I have two giant breed dogs (a Great Dane and a St. Bernard)insured with them and have had no problems with coverage for anything. I chose the most extensive plans to ensure as much benefit as was necessary in case of problems. As with all contracts, you should READ THE FINE PRINT for the coverage start date and what exactly will be denied (existing conditions, age-related dz, etc.). It's not difficult to mull through or understand. Insurance is definitely worth the money if you have dogs that weigh 150+ pounds and every medication is weight-dosed. :)
