Two Pets!
I had to find good coverage at an affordable price for my two beloved pets! The claim service was excellent in turn around time. On top of this, there has not been one time that customer service had not only been professional, courteous and knowledgable, but pleasant and genuinely concerned about your pets care and well-being. (No, I am not an employee, just very satisfied!)

Very good company
I would definitely recommend Embrace. I've told all of my friends that are pet owners about it. The premium is very reasonable, and I feel that this is worth my money. I've only had to file 1 claim so far, and they were very prompt and professional and answered all of my questions.

Great Service
I decided to give Embrace my business primarily because of the personal service they provided. I emailed questions and got immediate responses; I emailed the CEO and she called me! I particularly like being able to customize the coverage I want for my 3 dogs, and the pricing is extremely competitive. Super website makes it easy to find information and get in contact with a real person.

My first claim experience
I had my first claim with Embrace and it was handled well. They said it would be done within 10 days. Since my claim needed more information, they did notify to say that my claim may take a little longer. I found that to be helpful.

Over priced and no good
I tried the "free" insurance provided by pet partners, activating it on the morning of March 18th....on April 18th I took my puppy in for Cystitis and got her cared for, but Pet Partners refused to cover the cost of care, saying that my coverage didn't start until the 19th following their "30-day waiting period"...and it took over a month for me to get a response!I am glad I let this coverage lapse and would not recommend this coverage to anyone.
PetFirst is much better...go with them!

PetsBest is no good
I have the same problem as everyone else..simples claims take a long time to process..over a month...customer service always tells me something different but they are friendly although not well educated in their field...
VPI was horrible to begin with so if this is the same owner the obviously it's not going to be that good either.
It's cheaper to have the $20 a month and then pull it out when need. Thanks anyways.

So far so good with my dog
I purchased the AKC Wellness policy for my new pup and the basic policy for my 3 kittens. They have been very good at paying for his office visits, medications and vaccinations. After the initial annual deduction, they are paying 80% (20% co-pay).
Puppies require a great deal of attention (vaccines, heartworm, tick & flea meds, wormcheck) the first year. In two instances they denied payment incorrectly, but I think it is important to give them credit for their quick turnaround when I wrote to them to clarify and they confirmed the information with my vet.
The jury is still out on how they respond to a claim for one of my kittens. She was 8-months-old when she suddenly became very ill one evening. I took her to the emergency clinic and transferred her to my regular vet the next morning. Both vets believed she needed surgery for what appeared to be an intestinal obstruction. She was operated on and died after the surgery. After an inconclusive autopsy, my vet has concluded that she had heart disease which could not be detected before hand and ultimately led to her death after the surgery.
The combined two vet bills will total just under $3,000, which is the policy limit. We will see if they pay it or not.
So, as to my pup a 9. Let you know later about the kitten.

Claim Review Time too long
As mentioned before, their website states that claims are normally settled within 5 days. Mine took 2 months to find out I was getting nothing but $50. They claimed my dogs tumor was pre-existing. I e-mailed and called many times to check up on my status. They always apologized, but it still took forever. Finally I was told my claimwas settled and the check was sent out. Over 1 week later, I finally got my check...for $50. I disputed the claim rejection with no luck. They still said the tumor was pre-existing. $1000 later. I think I am going to drop the insurance for a while and try something else. The ASPCA seems to have a decent accident and illness policy. I do understand that my dog' tumor could have been pre-existing, but I am upset that it took so long to come to that conclusion even with a call and an e-mail per week from me.

Really stand by their service!
Pets Best is easy to contact. They answer their phones first time around. They've settled the majority of my claims within 2 weeks. My dog is 13 and is seeing the Vet more often lately. Very satisfied with company.
