Response
Subject: RE: Robert Lerner Embrace Claim Explanation of Benefits EPI:0100098Laura, I want to thank you for your prompt action on Oskar’s claim. I have used other insurance companies in the past and they have both more expensive and less responsive. I have only been a client for a few months and I realize you have lost money on our relationship but that has not stopped you from prompt, satisfactory responses. Thank you for your good service.
FYI, my Vet, Hometown Animal Hospital has asked me about your company. They had previously had been recommending another company but I related my satisfaction with Embrace and I believe that they might switch to Embrace.

Simple, easy, and GREAT!
When I adopted my 11 year old, deaf, slightly blind, dog with kidney issues I started researching pet insurance. I looked at every pet insurance website I could find and read through almost everything on coverage, what's excluded, and got quotes. Pets Best was simply the best one I had seen so far, better value than VPI who wanted to charge me $68 (Pets Best charged around $44/month). If you read everything through, it's quite clear and simple. I knew my dog wouldn't get covered for a large bill due to his kidney failure later, but they covered whatever they could for that hospitalization and his euthanization and cremation. Pets Best has had the best customer service I've seen.
When I adopted my 3 month old puppy 6 months later, I immediately signed him up for Pets Best and locked in our low rate of $32/month. I've seen a few new insurances recently that also look pretty good, but in the long run I think Pets Best will still benefit me the most. Just recently, my dog was hit by a car and having Pets Best really helped keep me calm as it was one less thing to worry about.
I'm absolutely satisfied with their service and their coverage!

Terrible First Experience
My dog was diagnosed with 5 lipomas on left leg and chest and prolapsed 3rd gland. I went with Embrace as they were supposed to cover hereditary conditions for specific breeds. But they refused to cover any of the surgery cost or the consultation before the surgery. I am very disappointed. Also took them over a month to respond to me on the claims.

Excellent Customer Service
When we adopted a second dog, my husband & I decided it was time to consider pet insurance. I spent a month researching different plans & companies, and Embrace looked like the best choice. I have been completely satisfied with their customer service, handling of claims, and flexibility of coverage. Thanks for all the help!

Caring and comprehensive
The entire team at Embrace is a pleasure to deal with. They have covered everything exactly as it is outlined in the policy we have with them. They process claims efficiently and payment is prompt as well. We have been with them for two years now and plan on continuing for the long term.

Read the fine print!
This plan seems like a great plan at first, I chose the Advantage plan, which covers spay and neuter which can be so expensive and you get routine coverage as well as accident. However, once I submitted my claim for reimbursement, I was surprised at how LOW my reimbursement was compaired to my vet bill!! Granted, I took into a account the deductable, however they only reimbursed me for 80% of what THEY consider to be "reasonable costs" (basically they take the average of what the vets are charging in your area, and that includes cheaper places like shelters and such, so if you choose to go to a more expensive vet, that is a disadvantage for you). Also, I'm unhappy with the customer service, which once I got through was good, but anytime I chose the option to check up on my claim, it took literally 30 min. before someone would answer! Then when I chose the option to open a new plan, my wait time was (conveniently) only 5 min.I wouldn't recommend this insurance, too many loop holes.

You are Incredible
A little over a year ago our new 3 momth olg pup "STORM" had a horrible accident when he was attack by a neighbor's malamute. The dog grabed Storm's leg by getting his head under our fence . The leg was just barley hanging on. We rushed him to the emergency vet.clinic where they we able to save his life and with 4 surgeries they were able to save his leg.We had only taken Embrace out a few days before this happened. You were there from the beginning and followed us through the entire process...not only paying our claims; but also encourageing usas we went through the ups and downs of Storm's recovery. A couple of month ago he started having problems with his left back leg. He had a luxation of the patella and had surgery to keep it in place and is now recovering form that surgery. EMBRACE has been right there for us. In less than a month after the surgery, the claims have been paid to our satisfaction. It would be great if our our health insurance would be as efecient. As long has we have dogs ,we'll hvae EMBRACE!

ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, Canton Ohio
They use their own fee schedule, so even if they pay 80% for a particular malady, it is 80% of what they say is reasonable for your area. It is not based on your actual charges. I found this misleading.

Everything is excluded in fine, fine print
We have 2 English bulldogs who are now 16 months old. At the age of 4 months we purchased AKC healthcare for both of them. Our male had a cavity above his screwtail so surgery was performed in 8/2007. This was not covered because they said it was congenital but our vet, who had checked him since the age of 7 weeks, had never discovered it before. Our female started limping on her left hind leg in October of 2007 so our vet referred to a specialist. The specialist suggested inserting pins in her knee since it was very weak. We had this surgery performed in January of 2008 and, of course, this surgery was not reimbursed either. This insurance is a scam - DO NOT PURCHASE SINCE THEY COVER NOTHING!
