I have been so very pleased with the many insurance reimbursements I have received in the past year. I am so thankful that I decided to go with this company and would highly recommend it to anyone. ALL of my future pets will be covered by this wonderful company!

Would choose again over others
I had been with another insurance company and then switched to Pets Best. Not only did they offer a better policy, but whenever I called to check on a claim (which was always handled quickly and easily), their staff was sensitive to my feelings about my dog and always gave me the impression that they were concerned about pets first and business second.
When it came time to cancel Fred's policy after he passed away, it was done with no protests and I was so grateful for the expression of sympathy.
If I were to get pet insurance again, I would choose Pets Best.

Veterinarian has her own pets on Pets Best
I know it seems funny for a veterinarian to insure her own pets, right? But I have 9 animals on Pets Best Insurance right now. With this many animals, somebody is always getting into trouble. Pets Best has covered my claims - and so far - the money I have been reimbursed - has more than paid for my premiums - even in just wellness benefits.
I can't tell you how many people come in to our animal hospital with a sick pet, and can't afford the treatment or surgery they need. With this insurance - most people could afford to treat their pets. For me, I have peace of mind, and know that if I am out of town, they can go to the specialist of my choice to get the best in care - without killing my pocket book.
Their plans are easy to understand - meet the deductible - then they reimburse 80% of covered things. There is no age limit, so even my senior dogs were able to be covered, and I fully expect to have a big bill associated with the "end of life" circumstances that I am sure to face, all too soon. I saw several other insurance plans - as a veterinarian - and they were very confusing - even to a vet! I can't imagine a regular pet owner being able to figure out what is covered or not.
I am really pleased that if my pets need a specialist, either for a surgery or medical reason - I don't have to be worried about the costs.

RipOff Artists!
They beat around the old bush and took their time, initially, my daughter failed to give my name when she brought Sampson the cat to the vet (he had sprung a fever) they had the policy number!!!!, yet this little bit of confusion caused them WEEKS of delayI called over and over again, they also repeatedly stated they had no info from the vet (who HAD faxed them) and ALSO NEEDED PREVIOUS HISTORY FROM ANOTHER VET!! All this BS was additional excuses for delaying payment to me.
THEN, they only paid 1/3 of the total cost, they advised me they had a "standard and approved " fee schedule, but that I could not have a copy of this fee schedule unless I gave them $150.00 payment for it!!! So I don't know how they came up with the settlement amount, which was of course, only 80% of this so called approved fee.

An attorney speaks out
I have had three pets insured with this company since 2000. Somewhere along the line they changed their wording as they went from underwriter to underwriter. Avoid them like the plague. I now have a complaint pending with the Maine Bureau of Insurance and the Attorney General. I am also litigating this for Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices as I never got a renewal policy and had asked for the plan with the continuous coverage. I paid 120.00 a month for these plans and they lied on taped conversations on the phone (have tapes). They are the worst out there. Time to make them honest. I think they are truly the best!
I have a dog who had to have several surgeries on her leg. I made many trips to the surgery center and may phone calls to Pets Best. Every time I had to call, I've always received excellent customer care. My claims have been handled fast and very professionally. And the most important thing is that the checks came in the mail quickly! I tell all my friends about this insurance and how important it is not to be without it. For a few dollars a month, you can save thousands!!!!! That is what happened to me. You can be the most careful pet owner, accidents happen and you never know when.

Simply the BEST!!!
Previously we had other health insurance for our dogs. The few times we had to make a claim, we were always diappointed - where did these figures come from? How can they pay us so little? When our new Rottweiler puppy was about to join our family, I really searched for pet insurance. They all seemed the same as what we had already experienced and then I read about Embrace. The notion of actually reimbursing for costs on a regional basis made sense. I agreed with the philosophy of not paying for well visits and not paying premiums for that either. Embrace has been wonderful! Our puppy has had some problems and we are able to get him whatever health services he needs because Embrace is standing right beside us. I can't imagine why I don't see more promotional advertising at the Vet's office, for Embrace. The "other" guys must be paying the Vet's to have their name in front of the public. I tell all who will listen that Embrace is the only pet insurance you need. They are an honest, caring company and my dog is proof of that. You may waste your money with another company or you can get started on the right foot with Embrace!

I recently changed from VPI to Embrace. The weekend after my 15 day waiting period was up I noticed something wrong with my pet's eye. A visit to the vet began an on going amount of visits to an eye specialist and neurologist. Embrace had to process my claims and look at previous vet history at the same time, as I was just past the waiting period. They were fast and kept in touch with me the whole while. They paid what the insurance said they would pay in a prompt manner. I am very pleased with them and have recommended them to my vet's office and friends with pets and also added my other dog onto the plan.What a pleasure after dealing with VPI who told me what the vet should have charged and what they would and would not pay. I, too, wish I had know of Embrace earlier.

PERFECT!
I have been so very pleased with Embrace insurance company. Their correspondence is kind and quick. There are no unwanted surprises! They follow through and do exactly what they say they will do. I am recommending this company to everyone I know, and I will definately use this company for all of my future pet children!

If only human health insurance worked so well!
Their service is impeccable. They are thorough, attenttive, honest, and upfront. They are the answer to the healthcare crisis in this country. Of course, I'd prefer if dental and drugs were covered in the annual plan...but I'm sure there was an option for that, that I likely opted out due to increased monthly payments.
