Very happy I switched to Pets Best!
My greyhound broke her toe last year so badly it had to be amputated and the vet bills ended up being about $1600. I was with VPI at the time and had been for several years and was really shocked at how little they covered for the amputation. They have a schedule of "allowable" fees which is why I switched to Pets Best, which is based on a simple 20/80 plan with a $75 one time deductible per incident.I'm so glad I did, because this year in February my girl ended up with a what was finally diagnosed as a calcified tendon in her shoulder which had to be surgically repaired....needless to say not a cheap venture. All I can say is that Pets Best was absolutely GREAT about answering all my many questions about this rather complicated claim, because it looked like it was possibly an issue with the three-toed foot in the beginning. There were extensive x-rays at my regular vet and then a specialist who did the surgery. From beginning to end my claims were processed and paid within three weeks, no more than four and that's because medical records were requested. Out of $3000 I only had to pay about $500 which sure made it a lot easier for me to do whatever it took to get my very active sweet girl back to running and playing pain free.
The staff at Pets Best was always very compassionate, helpful and patient and reaching someone was never a problem.
The premiums are a bit higher, but considering the benefits, especially with today's costs of good veterinary care, it's well worth it.
THANK YOU to everyone at Pets Best for taking such good care of me and my best buddy Bailey.

very deceptive policy renewal discription
I have been with ASPCA for over a year, I have three pets on the plan.My cat had developed hyperthiroidism in Nov. of 2007 and was put on medication which is not hepling,he had to be on it for three months to regulate the thiroid before surgery could be done. The policy renewed in Feb. when I read my new ploicy on the certificate it had a clause that read any illness that manifests in one 12 month period and is not cured and treatnent free for 180 days will be excluded from coverage in the subsequent 12 month period.but there was a asterik at the end of that statement (*) at the bottom of the plan it says does not apply to our plan.I called to verify this and was put on hold for 10 minutes and told to turn to page 9 under section Limit Of liability which basically said the same thing that was on the front page.I was told that they did not know why the asterik had that clause and that there were two supervisers looking into IT ,but that I am still not covered,I am thinking of contacting a lawer in this matter,I sent several E-mails and they never reply.I asked if my pet had an accident 12/31 and had to go back for several appointments and my policy renewed Jan.1 if that would be covered and was told no.What kind of rip off company are they.I chose them because they are the aspca, and thought that they would be more reputable because of there name .Boy was I wrong.I am going to look for another company.

Service with a Smile
We have four labrador retrievers signed up with Embrace and we had to use it quiet a bit in the last few weeks. Between bulging discs, MRI, x-rays and a car accident we had our hands full with Vet visits and worries. Embrace made the whole process easy and worry free. The communication is prompt and always friendly, e-mails are answered promtply and the staff is always caring and concerned with the well being of our pack.
We used other pet insurance prior to Embrace and they don't come close to the service Embrace offers. Thank you Embrace Staff! Four thumbs and 8 paws up!

We highly recommend this pet policy
Our first claim with Embrace was promptly paid as promised. Our small dog broke his leg while he was playing. We had to take him for emergency services to a large veterinary hospital specializing in orthopedics. It was necessary for him to undergo surgery for his leg repair. This was a costly procedure and Embrace paid as promised with the deductible and plan that we chose. We highly recommend this pet policy.

Customer Service is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!
There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it, your customer service is the best I have dealt with by far. Your attentiveness is unlike any other company. I am a new client, signed on in October 2007, and you have been absolutely wonderful dealing with me and my first claim. You have given me the sense that you really care about my Brownie, and I so much appreciate that. Thank you so much for being a company that really cares about your clients, the animals, our pets, just like they were a part of your own family.

Did not cover root canal
I was unaware they would not cover root canal and removal of two teeth for my coton, as they do no dental. It cost me $1600. Root canals are not cheap and many dogs tend to have dental problems. Stats on this are high by about 3 years. My dog broke a tooth chewing. There are only 4 vet dentists in Illinois and 80 in the US, so it is quite expensive.

Great Customer Service--Very Pleased
After being a customer with VPI since A'Sharel was a pup someone suggested that I look into Pets Best Insurance. In which, I did. The first time I inquired about their insurance they were not offering it in Tennessee. It was a while before they would have the insurance in Tennessee. Of course, I continued to inquire about the insurance and finally, I was able to enroll A'Sharel. What I have been most impressed with is them accepting her at her age. With some insurances they want accept your little one once they have reached a certain age. Well, A'Sharel had reached an age whereby I thought she would not qualify. Of course, she did and I have been happy every since. Also, each time I have spoken with a customer service person they have always been polite and very helpful. I have not had a need to file a claim as of yet. So, I will have to address that issue once it happens.
So, I will say they are just wonderful.

The best, best, best!
This company is the way i wish my own health insurance was. There is a wide range of coverages available, allowing people to choose what they want and need for their pet. Everything is very clearly explained. They cover much more than any other company that i have investigated. I have had several claims and they have all been handled expeditiously and exactly the way their policy states. I opted for a $200 deductible and 10% co-pay. I reccommend them to everyone i meet and to every veterinary clinic in my area. Buy this insurance...you won't be sorry.

Excellent customer service
I really appreciated the help I've received from Khrystal Hinkel in customer service. I couldn't understand why I hadn't heard from PetsBest after having turned in my claim after a month, and after my call, Khrystal said she would check into it. It turned out my email attachment didn't make it through, so I decided to fax it instead. Khrystal emailed me back to make sure that I knew that they had received my claim and that it was being processed. I am just very impressed with how thorough and thoughtful she was in following up on my claim and letting me know what was happening. I just don't see that kind of service any more in ANY kind of company. So far, I think PetsBest is the best!

Great Communication with Owner
Embrance has kept me up to date with my pets insurance since I enrolled. The first time I filed a claim I was told when my vet faxed in my claim, and the following day I was told that Embrace needed my pets medical history and they contacted my vet to get it. Enbrace then notified me the day my vet faxed in my pets medical history so I would know that they received it. This keeps a pet owner from wondering if everything is going as it should. I don't have to worry when Embrace is around!
