The insurance is decent coverage, and so far every appropriate claim has been covered per the contract. However, the price jumped 33% from one year to the next. They say costs are based on type of pet, age of pet, and where you live. The only thing that changed was my cat went from 4 to 5 years old. They claim that costs don’t increase based on claims, but that feels false based on a 33% jump. If I had known the price would increase this much in one year I would have gone with another company.

It is extremely easy to file a claim and they are very quick to review and make a decision. They usually pay within 4 days from the date the claim was submitted. Pets Best is the best!

All the time I could remember, just where was I going to get the money to pay for care. Then I saw this pet health insurance. When a small bump appeared inside my weiner dog's (Julio) ear I figured it'd be best to keep an eye on it. Over night it nearly doubled in size and that's when my wife and I knew it was something that couldn't wait. Thankfully our wonderful vet was able to get Julio in for surgery that morning so that we could scope and run tests. We're just as thankful for having the support of the animal lovers at Nationwide because making sure your pup is in top shape isn't always cheap, but it certainly helps you to rest easier at night. It was so easy I filled out the claim attached a copy of the bill and sent it in, that was it.

I have had problems understanding delays in payments and need for more information. But this was mostly my fault. When I reach a person to talk to, they are VERY HELPFUL! It’s just hard as you get older to understand electronics communications. Thanks for your patience.
