Amazing Support
Both Trupanion and VCA hospital in Aurora, IL helped us through one of the most difficult times for our family when our puppy unexpectedly became sick. The ease of communicating with Trupanion was amazing and the seamlessness between insurance and the hospital was so helpful. I've never felt so supported before and cannot thank everyone enough for their help in healing our Zoey and taking amazing care of her. We wouldn't have been able to help her without Trupanion or the VCA hospital.

Dissatisfied
Embrace says it's a 30 day review period. It's not. Took at least 60 days. They also had wrong diagnosis on the review. Really hard to get through on phone. I paid one year in full. Asked for money back and only received partial return of money. They said I was insured during that time but policy says not insured until review is completed in 30 days. Took 60 days, no claims made, no insurance and only partial return. They are shady.

Poor customer experience when we need the most no help at all
In July 7th, I had a vet bill of $271, and despite not meeting the $300 threshold for the policy, I understood the situation and accepted that it wouldn't qualify for reimbursement. Unfortunately, in August, we had to use the insurance again, incurring a new bill that totaled over $500.
When I submitted the claim for reimbursement, I was informed that due to the policy renewal, I would not receive any reimbursement. The policy's mechanism of resetting the claims threshold annually to zero feels unfair and has left me feeling deceived and let down.
The fact that we pay over $800 per year for this insurance, hoping for support during times of need, only to receive no assistance when it matters the most, is truly disheartening. It feels like as customers, we are being let down by the insurance we trusted to protect our pets' well-being.
Regrettably, this experience has led me to the decision of canceling my contract with Pet Fetch, as it no longer meets my expectations or provides the support I believed it would offer. Furthermore, I strongly advise others against using this insurance, given my unsatisfactory encounter.
I sincerely hope that you take this feedback into consideration and use it to improve your services for other pet owners in the future.

What changed in May/June 2023?
We have had Pets Best Insurance for most of our dog’s life. 5-star company with professional interactions and zero complaints. However, something changed in late May / early June of 2023. This was the first time I’ve had to wait for an answer (not reimbursement), on a submitted claim, for almost a month. I called customer service to make sure it wasn’t a mistake on my end, and I received this response “I see that you have had minimal time delays in prior claims. Do you understand that it could be between 14 to 40 days for a claim to process?” Am I the only one that did not know this? 5 Stars dropped to 3 Stars.

Not Great
I have Nationwide Pet Insurance. I recently (July 2023) had to spend over $1,000 on my 17 yo cat. I got $200 back. I spend $117 a month on pet insurance. Not worth it. Planning on changing companies this month. Other insurance plans out there (even for a 17 yo cat!) that are comparable that let you pick deductible and how much you are reimbursed.

Great Service
Sadly our Siberian has epilepsy. This obviously results in many more trips to the Vet and/or emergency hospital. Healthy Paws has been there for us each step of the way. Filing a claim is super easy on their app and turn around time is reliable and fast. More than that, they check in on Duncan and truly care.
