money hungry & unreliable
I asked all kinds of question due to I had experience with my other cat(pass away)at 22yrs old. What I went through money wise I took out insurance on my cats. 2 cats are under VPI (which I love but premium go up every year, by age of cat) So with ASPCA I thought I would be covered and when I took my cat in they denied the bill. They get into the program and then when you need it they say it is not covered. WHAT A RIPOFF COMPANY - SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. I am paying outrages premium a month and I am on disablity.

Maggie's Bladder Stone Surgery
Back in the Fall of 2009 my cat Maggie was passing blood in her urine. Subsequently, she was diagnosed with a bladder stone which required surgery. I am so thankful I had pet insurance because the total bill came to $1,800 dollars. The insurance paid almost $1,200. I certainly can recommend having it.

Very prompt, excellent service.
We signed up with Embrace last summer because my research showed that the company was the closest I could find to true "Major Medical" insurance for our Golden Retriever. Then in November our pet showed up with a good sized tumor on her neck. Surgery successfully removed the tumor. I paid the veterinarian's bill and submitted my claim to Embrace. They acknowledged my claim immediately, and after receiving the additional required documentation from our veterinarians, sent me a check (after deductible)for over 50% of the total cost. The total elapsed time was only two weeks! Now that's what I'd call exceptional service by an insurance company. Embrace has not only met, but has exceeded my expectations!

very prompt
We found Embrace to be very prompt in making sure the claim was processed as quickly as possible. And they are always available to answer a question and explain things. This was very appreciative.

much better than I expected
My shorthair orange tabby Earl has had a very bad year with a series of illness - vomiting, urinary tract infection, bladder stones, and a malignant tumor in an adrenal gland. The ASPCA plan has paid something on each claim (so far) with explanations after a careful review of the bills I sent. Having this insurance really helped defray the expense of treatment and allowed me to have definitive tests done to help alter his diet and to reveal the tumor in the adrenal gland which was recently removed. Earl seems to be doing fine at this time.

Buyer Beware
I have been with 2 different vets and each time i would get script renewed, the amount that was allowed was always lower than the amount I paid. I once had a script that the cost was lower than the previous month, and they still lowered the acceptable amt. When I called them up on it they just kept repeating the policy. When I questioned them that the previous month was higher allowed than the this months lower one they had no answer and were very short with me. When my expiration date came around they would not let me go to the next level like they had stated a few months prior. They told me to wait till mine expired and call them the next day and they would move my one dog to the next leve to continuous care, Now she has to be free of the the illness for 180 days before anything can be submitted. So, you get 80% of what ever they think is customary at that time no matter what your cost at the vet was prior. If I know that was the way they worked, I would not have signed up with them to begin with. I am now seeking other options. You should too.

Great for pets of all ages
I have been with the ASPCA pet insurance plan for less than a year, but it has been helpful already. I have a wonderful cat, Chaos, who has a cancer known as “Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Very few, if any cats survive this type of cancer. Chaos was given very little change for survival; however, he has amazed all of his doctors and is expected to live longer than they expected.
I am on a retirement income and having ASPCA Pet Insurance has allowed me to provide Chaos with emergency care and his regular doctor’s visits while giving me some comfort from a financial stand point. Emergency hospital visits for animals are very expensive and the fact that I had pet insurance helped ease my worries.
I highly recommend Pet Insurance especially when both you and your animals are seniors.

Better than all the rest - but read your policy!
The continual communication is fantastic. They are top of the line in keeping in touch once a claim has been initiated. I didn't read closely enough and didn't get as much out of my first clainm as I could have - not their fault! it was all there; I justmissed it. That's why I noted in the One-line Summary to read your policy. There are two different parts they pay on: Wellness and Illness. One you need to get a physical within the 14 day waiting period; one you just need vet records. I didn't "get" that. So, when I needed coverage for a claim that was covered for both situations, I qualified for one but not the other. Embrace was wonderful, though, as any other pet insurance company would have just used it as a way to get out of paying anything on the claim. They contacted me, told me what had happened and why they couldn't cover one part but also that they were going to split the claims apart so I could get reimbursed for the part I did qualify to receive a benefit. That was amazing! I faxed the information they needed to complete the process and received my check, even with all the confusion of coverage, in three weeks from my vet visit. They really are better than all the rest.

I love this insurance company!
I really enjoy have Pet's Health Care Plan for my two dogs. It's economical and reassuring to know that my dogs' medical needs will be taken care of. 3 years ago I lost a dog to brain and bladder cancer and was so grateful for having pet insurance. I was able to give my dog the treatment he needed without having to worry about the cost. When he passed away, the office staff sent me a condolence card; which really meant a lot to me. It's easy to file claims with Pet's Health Care Plan and it doesn't take very long to get reimbursement.
